Namita

She beats out her time, from unwanted pain, to me she was kind, can anyone condone, the unforgiving rain, that finds her alone, or the breathless way, her eyes light the cold, seeking love's remains, when it's safer not to know, and easier to explain, places you won't go, haunted, proud, don't ask why, she lives untamed, no longer hails the sky, maybe she knew certain names, she would never lie, face jumps like a flame, it fires the sky.

Spit saliva on your hands, have another crack, get yourself up to dance, glide over the wretched times, drink, play and stack, your songs down laughter lines, singing childless and cramped, throw salt behind your back, you always make the stand, measured by your signs, your family decides to attack, your dream of everything fine, how you suffer under lights, what lives inside never lasts, giving money makes you wise, stand by an unlit lamp, drawing their fire, facing facts, those who hear your plans, won't forget generous acts.

You hold the blazing light, a whole world to unlock, your face an icon, crying by endless night, i watch the broken clock, who will read my rights, you're happy to have me die, waiting for the knock, near water or road sign, a hung out life to dry, heading for the rocks, cigarettes, whisky, doing time, your sweet lullaby, wine bought at crowded docks, a cargo don't ask why, stretched across the line, i need somewhere to belong, you have taken fright, i taste all that's wrong.

Breathing gently on your wine, chasing numbers with the breeze, you need more than design, explore faces you've toned, when the calendar screams, maybe find yourself alone, dancing takes time, it hasn't been easy, taking steps to outline, what they would never know, for all your big schemes, who will tend your bones, it's really sublime, to include me in your dreams, help you explode your lies, you say let you see, while you fake each line, you'd gamble anything, for one last crime.

Who bothers to see me cry, under moonshine's bitter sprawl, uneaten fruit by my side, others need their ease, happy people don't bawl, the beach around me reels. silver clouds form lines, want to see me hauled, i didn't do the crime, her brown and lovely feet, left me without a call, a ship on lonely seas, i sip a gallon nine, in darkness see another shore, an old trail in my mind, this sunny life of mine, orange trees and new dawn, i look around my island, nothing's really gone.

Niaim

You wrap time around a wheel, say music is your key, a place to make you keen, your laugh a generous frown, rain sweeps across the lee, you always hear me out, just won't let me sleep, a creature lost in Cafe's, no one to hold the key, your Blues makes it real, a relic of the sea, hoping is not so easy, you make circumstance your own, help me with my history, never just a drop in town, great perspiring oratory, makes no sense to me, without your sweet feeling, a kind or hard necessity.

Spring blesses your name, our ship sails with bells, will I see you again ? that hurt we disown, tolls like a knell, loss is sometimes total, not only children drain, the uncertain wells, by sounds of playing, lemon trees groan, their blossom intense, log trains climb and moan, broken bars blaze, all part of living hell, everything softer after the rain, if i could only sell, or catch those missed days, where an oracle tells, why you went away.
