Your kisses leave me, shivering on the train, silver tongues bereft of family, the wailed news, lies dead across my face, more jelly than the blues, who knows what to believe, the falling rain , is a blessed relief, it will bring the crew, to these shifting gates, that always tell the truth, a swollen handkerchief, a stillborn fate, a star across the sea, it’s so cruel, how hard life can be, before sunset glooms, where tears can't reach, a soul astray, don't spoil my dreams, I’m on my way.

Sean

You’re like sugared tea, tears are lachrymose, jokes your repartee, might have once been so, you suppose, never one to moan, the wind starts to ease, you’ll ride out the blow, replace it with certainty, the moon suits your tone, you'd never agree, doors needs to close, here by the sea, why bother to roam, when you can believe, dreams are best at home, the kid’s are all fine, you drink alone, when their mother leaves, best change your clothes, huff to the lavatory, shift twenty stone.

Raith Two

Will I stay the same, beneath the trees, each time we separate, remember the times, we drank in the heat, sat drinking wine, now a morning drain, it's not just our feet, in this tired game, believe me, I'm fine, I dream of the sea, to me it's the sky, what does it take, with my dawn novena, to see you again, smile like a hurricane, fix you something to eat, watch you hesitate, why can’t you remain, the sun sinks uneven, cars fill up their lanes, wait until she’s been?

It's been some time. but there you go, others wait in line, when donkeys start to bray, or the cock crows, I'll have my say, no need to bind, what you don’t own, on boardwalk miles, a star shows the way, frozen in my clothes, this is no holiday, kid you I don't mind, it’s just another show, drink a little wine, stay here and say, wrapped up in the snow, I’ll sing the night away, raid s skip for fire, don’t worry or scold, my face bears a smile, it runs through my bones.

A diagnosis only half true, you smell the Limes, on a tree-lined avenue, act like you know, the tests that tighten, hard to your bones, hope is no proof, to show if they’re right, except there's no clue, you won't be alone, in this cosy light, to break out the stones, you sit near the flue, it's not like a crime, for fire to warm you, you have to keep going, each starry night, when the kid's phone, say you’ll be fine, drink vodka with juice, it’s just a strange time, to ask what you're doing?

I’m fully aware, think I’m so great, who am I to care, looking for a home, a country across my face, I’m too far gone, a hand held to bear, the shaking out of fate, got all I need here, heaven screams alone, when voices fade, no one left to call in chains at the bar, plan a great escape, used as a timeshare, a bird that's flown, when shutters raise, time that’s gone cold, what if you dare, to draw down my traces, don't you understand, I’m broken freight ?

Put me on the train, I can hardly speak, you listen to the rain, forget sunlit avenues, or this roof that leaks, a bucket of bad news, Paris or Marseilles, anywhere they speak, not somewhere fake, pray I’ll see you soon, before my hair is grey, in your lavender room, don’t mark this day, when crazy inner deeds, come out to play, a magnolia blooms, love turns at ninety degrees, it’s not my tune, what is there to say, who would believe, that prayers are forsaken, when I hear the sea?
