Please don't identify, this long lonely pool, between me and the sky, tell me it’s nothing, might as well be a sewer, you never suffer, to stay for these nights, no one’s amused, what gives you the right, don’t want me to bother, shed my bad dreams too, do I look like a winner, bring sweetness to the light, laugh at my views, buttered dreams sweet fire, savour the offer, say what is true, instead of phoney proverbs, don’t ask me why, I’m always losing, you dressed all in white, this long afternoon

We’ll make our mark, won’t look like shoeshines, rise early in the dark, hankering for love, most of our nights, but worry what's above, in a supermarket car park, we drink loads of wine, hang around cars, we all need a crust, anything suits us fine, we laugh at the double, never walk far, it’s just low level crime, each step more scars, we work without gloves, put ourselves on the line, Okay, when it's good, but never a star, to show us what's right, still we search, our eyes to the sky.

Can you bring serenity, to this creature in a jar, rescued from the sea, like someone in a grave, wears a lack of spark, something you can't name, one who sets you free, like a bell from afar, back to childhood dreams, maybe it's a different age, we drive around in cars, but I still feel strange, nothing fills my need, except this salty dog, makes me want to scream, to dance by the waves, life wrapped around a spar, rid the stuff that's wreckage, the only thing real, is that far off star, shining above the jetty, I don’t half miss me Da?

Emily Three

Take a ship to France, do you want me to say, you can have another chance, act all cute, the way life is framed, but you're no fool, so you're banned, once again nailed, don’t start to dance, you’re not so cool, in your lies mere details, I won’t run smooth, don’t look askance, when I start to rail, passion can pass, shame doesn’t bother you, nothing more to say, you won’t need tunes, to slide down the scale, don’t take my hand, look at me again, say I’ve got class, call out my name?

Clouds unfurl in the sky, death brings no easy due, even when we die, who cares what’s at stake, it always comes for you, forever burns in your grate, something deep inside, not just any ordinary dude, makes me want to cry these brilliant barriers I create, not to look a fool, no one cares if I’m great, however high we fly, love is not immune, but always worth a try, lying low to castigate, something lost inside you, whenever you walk away, on troubled nights, we’ve had a few, spare me the questions right, blow them up the flue.

She has some spark, her lovely face lights, early as the lark, she hankers for love, most of her nights, doesn’t worry what's above, in a supermarket car park, they ask her why, she hangs around bars, says everyone needs a crust, her clothes are like wine, she doesn’t drink doubles, never walks far, to gossip is a crime, each step a lonely star, works without gloves, unlike other times, Okay, when it's good, but what never charts, hangs signs or a light, she can give some thought, maybe next time.

Can't get by the news, how you’ve slipped away, notes tell me the truth, you took a distant Metro, finished up your days, left me with the loans, I haven't got a clue, what in heaven's name, we’re going to do, everything we call home, doesn’t seem the same, the dogs howl and moan, I play hopeless tunes, trapped within their gaze, everything turns blue, you just left us alone, as if it was some game, made jelly of our bones, do I taste like bitter fruit, left upon your plate, demand why you've gone, dancing in the rain?
