Weak smile on his face, he says we’ll carry on, I turn my face away, a horizon once bright, we'll navigate alone, make it feel right, maybe take a train, anyone that comes, we once rode this way, the picture's not kind, I could cry but won't, not a time to make light, why it works this way, he’ll never understand, cars fill up their lanes, within a city's sight, I'll go underground, beneath a lavender sky, bets we each could make, tired of all the loans, nothing's here to gain, by going home.

If you could only redeem, what lights my smile, provide no more igomony, wolves howl at the moon, raise noses to the sky, know what is to wound, take me to the sea, get me lost amongst signs, make everyone believe, what aches for truth, dangled phrases to a child, brings me better news, no more bitter feeds, always taking flight, before whispered needs, my other side is ruin, stars supposed to align, illuminate my virtues, before you came for me, a power beyond my sight, love travels eternally, someone must ask why ?

Love blows warm at night, howls in ancient places, waits for day to hide, where promises are broken, spirits chant their names, call on ancient stones, it will be all right, is all you need to say, just give me time, beyond this a war zone, who can sacrifice fame, to others we don't know, laugh in gentler climes, settle in a lavender gaze, part of me is dying, a flame that's burning low, it is to my shame , rivers rise alone, please don't stay silent, we'll find love again, return it on the tide, measure out the blame.

Quetzalli

Coming by train last night, I swear it’s not easy, to put love to one side, he lives in Naples, I'm staying in Brindisi, he says everything's OK, it's a perfect sight, the moon over the sea, in his arms I sigh, fresh linen on the table, the fruit of last season, my longing for fables, he talks of a writer, named Lisa Passolini, and kisses me quietly, on the roof we’re able, to see Saint Peter's, I hear the poor failing, their voices take flight, hands rise unseen, shouldn't we ask why, they're without dreams?

My voice gets raised, just turn me loose, no more baking days, I hate to be alone, strapped to a curfew, lonely on the 'phone, pheww you’re no angel, dreaming something new, always want me changed, all your stupid cronies, stupid party poopers, jokers make me groan, before you got afraid, everything seemed true, honey you created, now on your bones, they'll turn the screw, nothing's here you own, will put you away , I've gone past the Blues, cast adrift by day, on a tide of losers.

I don't want to know, if you've really time, to reel what you've done, choke while you pray, consoled in your wine, keep the house anyway, when you're all alone, you'll think me kind, listening to your groans, hear me when I say, you’ve spun your last line, dreaming of the highway, what you really own, is a poor man's tontine, shamble of bricks and loans, you ask why I’m late, I'll tell you why, been at the lawyer's place, you can never atone, why bother to cry, made everything wrong, too late for trying.

Oceana

Just a game my sister, forget how to wrangle, all we have is blisters, your search for the free, hangs like a dongle, a kite across the sea, the way you kiss, makes his eyes crinkle, forget those promises, set loose on the breeze, admire his frankness, wave surfing carefee, don't let yourself spin, each line he imagines, reeling you in, he won’t write an oddysey, or give you a handle, another no bode addressee, why do you insist, waiting on the shingle, nothing's here to miss, Baby he's a wrinkle
