One Two Nine
When you wave ta ra,
it sometimes makes me shiver,
i die at the bar,
then you say you fool
and gave a little quiver
I'll be back soon
what you tell is rotten,
stories of ports and rivers,
from your battered car,
your image's just a spool,
tales all delivered,
bottles, tar, tidal wool,
a bravura from afar,
between passage as my lover,
left as a reminder scar,
to forget me when i drool,
for somewhere a tide remembered,
when you drain the pool,
trust the lands of la la,
or say love’s your ember,
Santa Fe, Kobe, Antofagasta,
somewhere you'll go under.

One Two Eight
Don't leave with someone else,
from this house of killers,
telling lies seal your debts,
will you spell out why,
you are at your limit,
can't even face the sky,
have me lie re credit,
leavened of my spirit,
perish that awful test,
to be like a child,
bones of saints for relics,
left untended enlightened,
loved only by my friends,
a course in middle distance,
while my tears are spent,
hear a blessing in my cry,
show concern at every instant,
escape by a flash of sight,
rejoice with hidden incense,
take decisions teeth gritted,
thank me for your absence,
go away this minute.
One Two Seven
Here's the question,
why on a secret phone,
you don't hear my request,
if there's no case,
to your creaking bones,
why walk away,
you suffer whispers,
in hushed magenta tones,
yet lightly still trespass,
don't blame me,
for taking the loans,
i'm the one that's steady,
why are you like this,
flushed as a trombone,
to escape their insouciance,
your voice sounds great,
no one really condones,
a quiet line of hate,
be careful at inquests,
a face blue as bone,
unknown bitter cigarettes,
you smoke as your own.

One Two Six
You consider my duress,
and want me for your needs,
spit saliva at the crest.
what is it you do,
when you're ill at ease,
do you hail a tribune,
children left without success,
this office is your creed,
you only crave excess,
sobbing with fake news,
power is your creed,
across this shining avenue,
my dreams struggle to confess,
of wine dark waters deep,
pray sometimes for a rest,
you want no excuse,
to see the wounds of history,
a turtled mound of refuse,
this water is far too fresh,
to bathe and drink all evening,
love me like the best,
let me taste the sea.

One Twenty Five
God is my breakfast test,
summer within a lover's storm,
don't i feel blessed,
smiling dangerously,
with her failing lymphoma,
the troubles start with me,
howling with tremendous zest,
her complaints grow enormous,
like some ferocious beast,
she’s a lightning seed,
for horrors that are brightly worn,
her own epiphany,
please give it a rest,
this thunderous performance,
i'm not at my best,
before even Dejeuner,
music rises like a claw,
a fist inside says serendipity,
is this the palimpest,
to act like never born,
my own litmus test,
we dance around the floor.

One Two Four
My vision comes too late,
not so easy to squeeze,
what I need to say,
you boil at my thunder,
exploding like a tree,
lost in luck or numbers,
you'll find out one day,
if you let me keep,
plans you’ve thrown away,
a life uncluttered,
my insides screech,
who needs love,
I'm not cut out this way,
for a cowards retreat,
or bound fast to the day,
it makes you wonder,
stones, graves, wreaths,
who splits who asunder,
memories of your face,
are not there to please,
the perfume of your gait,
steals away from me.
Friday 10 August 2018
One Two Three
Some nights I ask why,
other times no,
why stars make me cry,
might as well be Space,
that marks our credit zone,
we're out so late,
you come into my sight,
the wind is black and cold,
then you're gone again,
if kids and dogs are great,
then why go roaming,
stay who you are,
wake up and smile Hey,
make a place call it home,
flame starts with a light,
if you hear me cascade,
shout down a broken phone,
don’t hesitate,
no matter how late,
to strain our hungry bones,
we're only chasing sky,
not to be alone.

One TwoTwo
It's useless to hesitate,
the knife's to the bone,
it always strikes too late,
never safe to heed,
where I've been going,
no one makes me plead,
always leave the way,
I can slay my ghosts,
no matter what their taste,
say sayonara to that scene,
they‘ll leave me alone,
my turn now to bleed,
it leaves me delicate,
a tune with broken tones,
sealed in a shipping crate,
but it’s not my creed,
when you leave home,
you want to succeed,
the moon is llke paper,
it knows what I've done,
the wind on the plates,
fire to understand.

One Two One
A smile on her face,
she says carry on,
I can’t turn away,
a horizon once bright,
she navigates with stones,
feels that it's right,
maybe take a train,
like a love that's gone,
it once came this way,
the picture's not kind,
she can cry but won't,
it’s no place to fight,
why do thoughts work this way,
she’ll never understand,
here on the plain,
within a harvest light,
hardly a sound,
under an empty sky,
who can ever say,
we’re tied to our bones,
nothing to gain,
by going home.
Tuesday 7 August 2018
One Twenty
Parade all the while,
when you hit the trail,
ride that lonely mile,
in your bones,
you don't need a stay,
to be alone,
you left her to die,
on your holy grail,
said you didn’t have time,
can you atone,
when love always fails,
shame marks your tomes,
flip a coin to the sky,
talk of hoisting sail,
don't worry about style,
drink wine from a Jeraboam,
covet some desolate mail,
throw stones at her ghost,
what is it to cry,
that finds you this way,
you're not going to lie,
it’s worse than jail.
Monday 6 August 2018
One One Nine
A cracked dirty spoon,
offers no hindsight,
or makes you look cool,
here in this game,
a race for your life,
who holds the reins,
you act like a fool,
cooked over lies,
stop doing what you do,
if your eyes feel pain,
your brain like a firefly,
let others party,
what makes it so cruel,
you’re dying inside,
face like a broken mule,
when someone asks why,
what you're doing’s insane,
don’t show them the knife,
or act goody two shoes,
pretend to enjoy wine,
who needs your rule,
you'll be fine.
Sunday 5 August 2018
One One Eight
You could scream could you,
when she demands another loan,
talk of bad news,
god knows, make it right,
like some ocean boom,
she's on cloud nine,
she floats down the avenue,
her daisy head is blown,
paints you and Ma lemon blue,
spinning pennies in the night,
she’ll break any curfew,
never mind the fights,
when she cries for truth,
we know she's not alone,
can't be bothered to argue,
what's worse is the silence,
all that's gone to ruin,
me, my wife, our niceness,
before asking for her due,
she reveals a broken home,
leaves us here to stew,
she'll always break our bones.
Saturday 4 August 2018
One One Seven
Dance a poor man's Blues,
sing happy on the wire,
always pay your dues,
if no one 'phones,
when you try to inspire,
then go places alone,
each little bit of you,
is all they desire,
don't give them a clue,
life isn't a stone,
you leave in the fire,
why should you atone,
for your choice of ruin,
play louder than a choir,
scream baby play tunes,
you know in your bones,
when others conspire,
you’ll never go home,
who brings you news,
says who's for hire,
you make your own truth,
you're not a liar.
Friday 3 August 2018
One One Six
Chained to your days,
can your heart forgive,
its greatest ways,
best not to moan,
or want to rescind,
your life as a loan,
don’t live in a haze,
cowering from the wind,
torn like cellophane,
you're not alone,
to sail with the ships,
put meat on your bones,
live for today,
find love instead,
more than just trade,
welcome the tone,
a lonely heart shifts,
you're coming home,
when someone says,
you don't fit in,
there's no perfect way,
to know how to give.
Thursday 2 August 2018
One One Five
In darkness and grain blue,
please give me a sign,
release me of any virtue,
it’s not me gone cold,
when you bring me news,
or others you've told,
my tears ask me why,
I should cry for you,
you hide your goodbyes,
a life made bold,
by your cock a hoop,
makes me suddenly old,
your eyes betray constant flight,
care is not an issue,
neither is your wife,
come to me I moan,
can’t we light the fuse,
you cannot love alone,
should I die for you,
bells ring out the night,
is yours a poor truth,
tell me don't lie.
Wednesday 1 August 2018
One One Four
His lips twist like knives,
he is not forgiving,
his eyes sweep river wide,
what else is new,
bites me when he's sinning,
our trips to secret venues,
my mother says stay wise,
he'll make you do the giving,
many a tortured night,
our love isn't smooth,
I’m tobacco blonde and cry,
maybe it's true,
maybe she's right,
fresh alive and swimming,
sunlight, water, sky,
he shakes the lifeguard crew,
laughter's for the living,
his eyes are bright blue,
he dances in the tide,
his fame is in winning,
hails me with that smile,
is this our beginning?
