Maya Two
Fear hollows out my night,
makes me swallow ancient flame,
wait for lamps to light,
when I'm most shot through,
you’ll hear me state,
change is but our due,
a dream of life outside,
moments to pray,
drink a little sweet wine,
there are no avenues,
I won’t walk again,
you will too,
laugh in a better clime,
no one else to blame,
for part of me dying,
don't need shine my shoe,
all pieces in play,
our tide will turn blue,
beyond a knife held tight,
will you apply a tourniquet,
don't look away in fright,
we'll go home again.
Maya
Don't let the doom crew,
make it seem,
you'll always sing the Blues,
cold weather brings them on,
don't know the disease,
they always find a home,
even if the wind rocks cruel,
don’t stop your dreams,
you'll always lose a few,
come here my lovely one,
laugh beside an arctic sea,
nothing beats what’s gone,
the dark days of feud,
are now just history,
you’ll always beat the curfew,
even when fields turn blond,
stay with me,
our love is a marathon,
dance the way you do,
not from screams,
no icebergs frighten you,
what you believe.

Rowe Three
A broken tort on my knees,
you demand to see the child,
what lies in between,
when you think you know,
fury in your smile,
say it's just like you,
can’t I have some ease,
you ignore the signs,
believe perfect belief,
even if not true,
a power beyond my sight,
you always claim the virtue,
wrap it around your misery,
in whispered prayers at night,
throw them back at me,
the terms you accrue,
somehow heaven's insight,
lawyers stick with glue,
before you ask the judiciary,
to take the precious mite,
of love across the sea,
enquire about my rights?

Rowe Two
Love holds the door ajar,
your hair falls down the line,
you don't get very far,
but sit around a Pool,
trees wave in blended time,
who needs their news,
to ask about your Da,
just another wine,
lonely as a shooting star,
the money he tooled,
in a poor jaded light,
punishing the fools,
home another car,
furnished by mother's cries,
a place of stolen parts,
including you, you fool,
forget the hurt inside,
he caught a piece of you,
that sits on the bar,
and sees the morning rise
hit the highway burning tar,
we won't see your eyes.

Rowe
A winter of religious scenes,
she dabs at another frame,
stands without relief,
regards the thing she's honed,
out from that other game,
doubts she's ever alone,
in yellow nights of dreams,
even when she looks away,
it's not what it seems,
in many ways she's gone,
lost without a name,
the work is not her own,
but canvas lets her see,
painting's like a nail,
a matchstick in the sea,
the pull of other thrones,
never lets her reign,
her hand is a stone,
but work is her Me,
she wakes and eyes the day,
another strike at liberty,
there's no better way.

James Three
You cross to the lee,
things are never the same,
salt dawdles on the breeze,
danger comes to your eyes,
fame is in your gaze,
has it brought another spy,
perfume from last night’s heat,
rises on gentle waves,
surrounds you at your seat,
how you hold the line,
you won't be framed,
even if you tell a lie,
a church without society,
a jewel for your days,
silk on this silken sea,
beyond the burning fires,
someone chants your name,
the gods are wise,
being true is never easy,
especially with this campaign,
they will set you free,
chained to your odyssey.

James Two
Who can resist,
or diminish your flame,
sometimes by a wayward kiss,
hidden by brickfields and scree,
supplies of waste,
gather at your feet,
beware of those you hit,
please don’t turn and say,
am I being remiss,
the alley ticks with heat,
sunshine falls in little grapes,
your look is all-seeing,
let them go piss,
you say again,
rage will absolve us,
for everything we see,
we'll see again,
including our envy,
uncertain misfits,
shoved tossed away,
fools seeking justice,
beg for your name.

James
That’s behind you now,
sit stunned around a Pool,
a breeze makes you scowl,
on golden sand you dream,
all that hides in blue,
scrubbed by the sea,
it's easy to be blown,
what you've been through,
why not turn brown,
trees swell with yellow leaves,
they carry the news,
just let everyone be,
what you can't undo,
or make your tongue refuse,
you won't denude,
do you wax and seal,
offer them cashews,
put them on the wheel,
concoct some fantastic town,
where everyone is good,
no one lets you down,
no one makes you lose.

Berna Three
My eyes try to fix a place,
where we just carry on,
and no one feels the pain,
or cares for the drones,
that rise like Babylon,
beyond the time zones,
when he sees my face,
the running lines of alcohol,
it’s all suddenly plain,
a time to stay alone,
a wolf howl at the moon,
not like being home,
maybe I'll take a train,
find last winter's love,
ride around the Bay,
who knows how it’ll go,
a trapeze of broken runs,
heavy as a stone,
how do you kindle flame,
bleach your hair use a comb,
can we ever really say,
what we're made of?
Tuesday, 22 October 2019
Berna Two
Out by the long lights,
side by side in harmony,
we are cool as anthracite,
why take a train,
or sail on the lee,
when you jump a plane,
so far we're all right,
who needs reason,
act like young socialites,
it's fun being away,
we won't ever concretely,
inquire about pain,
a long silent night,
doesn’t stand scrutiny,
that morning can’t buy,
our horizon’s frayed,
the sun is all-seeing,
it beats out the stain,
we want to be free,
we say from on high,
below us the sea,
don’t ask me why?

Berna
I dream of his class,
silken not torn,
listening to him gasp,
struggling without scorn,
broken unsought,
I feel reborn,
landing in the traps,
dancing on thorns,
he’s a modern-day iconoclast,
what have I caught,
riding this storm,
a penny for your thoughts,
can you say it overlaps,
now that he's gone,
hidden under Burlap,
I fed him corn,
he broke the fast,
now I’m alone,
on the next mountain pass,
I'll have him clawed,
love cannot crash,
short of his shorts.

Robert Four
What it means to fly,
within a screaming gale,
no use trying to lie,
in my bones,
I don't need a trial,
to find myself alone,
studying a time,
when all measures fail,
and you search for style,
can we atone,
or do we always fail,
when shame drags us home,
flip a coin to the sky,
talk of finding sail,
I always leave this way,
drink wine from broken cones,
search for desolate mail,
throw stones at ghosts,
they say it's worse than jail,
forsaken all the while,
when you hit the trail,
brightened by a smile.
Robert Three
A worn-out empty feeling,
hot kitchens bad aches,
something leaking,
she brings me the news,
with a doctor’s face,
when you know the truth,
but also the sea,
an artist bright unfazed,
for this old has been,
looking for something new,
a need to get away,
she plays me Delta Blues,
blows it on the street,
all she works and saves,
nothing left to seek,
I'm still left in perdue,
falling like the rain,
down broken avenues,
it sends me reeling,
by St Luke’s place,
kills me with her being,
these sunny days.

Robert Two
Tell me, tell me why,
they treat me so unfair,
my lips dissolve their cries,
who says to run clear,
call for stolen hurt,
demand a veil of tears,
I command a beautiful sight,
candles scent the air,
bells ring out the night,
my life contains all grief,
in yellow-robed nightshirts,
fresh from sleep,
I walk like a man gone by,
through the city desolate,
while they search my eyes,
will they ring my feet,
slash or burn my furs,
ask them to entreat,
these days without care,
they love orators here,
in darkness and green light,
I'm ready to go first.

Robert
He seeks explosive release,
in what he cannot find,
nothing seems to please,
he won't hear good news,
love is just a grind,
a cover-up for truth,
with the kiss of blasphemy,
he doesn't do sublime,
or give anyone a treat,
why disguise the Blues,
or nourish his sweet mind,
no one’s there for you,
he shakes his keys,
when December chimes,
work’s no Odyssey,
chained to a loving need,
for his family’s crimes,
he'd rather bleed,
forget any sense of ease,
of justice place or time,
the path to any freedom,
another clock to wind.

Fion Three
Nothing left to negotiate,
fortify your shoes,
seek holy escape,
they're only clones,
that bring you news,
to say you're not alone,
reason it’s too late,
to heal your broken look,
any brigand seeks escape,
you're not a rolling stone,
all of life is fruit,
don’t worry about the rope,
if you disturb the waves,
why should it bother you,
you'll always have your say,
separate the stones,
seek a distant bayou,
you’re not coming home,
when Oceans are in play,
survive while lovers mew,
step closer to the flame,
nothing left to rue
Tuesday, 15 October 2019
Fion Two
Sweet talk makes you curl,
you say enough, Basta,
never just your little girl,
silken wraps you've thrown,
that always collapse,
face moulded like a stone,
plates occasionally hurled,
nothing holds you fast,
makes you torn or care,
life is what you own,
if you think that crass,
consider it gone,
you're not perturbed,
time has passed,
keep that flag furled,
dance on brown chairs,
make a homeward dash,
your face to the air,
daddy you can keep or burn,
your love on the gas,
but turn the flame down,
make it last.

Fion
Please don't act all fine,
playing your games,
somewhere you’ll do time,
you’ll sing the blues,
on some lousy bedframe,
it's always you,
that never turns out right,
far away from pain,
sleeping bad, drinking wine,
what a cretin’s tune,
I’m coming home you say,
call that good news,
naked to your crimes,
no light across the plain,
you’ve lost your own design,
howling out your truth,
on some dismal train,
words bear bitter fruit,
when you talk coastlines,
dancing in the rain,
remember all your lies,
baby think again.

Hera Four
You know what it means,
to live alone,
thoughts harden into screams,
I'm cool but burn with flame,
even to atone,
makes me hesitate,
this isn't my scene,
the journey's almost done,
long past where I've been,
it’s useless to fake,
life as a drone,
things always come too late,
never safe to heed,
even where I’m wrong,
to ones who make me plead,
say goodbye to fame,
you drop me like a stone,
my turn now to rage,
I unwrap my dreams,
can still hear your moans,
who can resist this heat,
mend my broken bones?

Hera Three
From my white garden seat,
I carry a load,
It takes time to defeat,
secrets like lemons seed,
ravaged lipstick Eau De Cologne,
I only whisper feelings,
when lovers trick or treat,
my perfumes soaked,
whiskey I down neat,
living by a swollen creek,
my prayers take hold,
granny tucks her sleeves,
a gun next to the sheets,
she's no rolling stone,
what better cure than ease,
bathed in wine or yeast,
isolated but still at home,
there are still more beats,
to measure these beans,
no public telephones,
down fields of blue wheat,
we’re not alone.

Hera Two
I'm a fool at dawn,
to say something like that,
your eyes cross and turn,
I want to be at sea,
on a wooden raft,
there's still time to dream,
summon some ancient charm,
from our little chats,
sail to a perfect calm,
I want to speak clearly,
roar like a big cat,
say this is not some feeling,
to make you feel torn,
our life’s on the flat,
but still has some form,
ride rails, dance and weep,
adjust my Ray-Bans,
dance before tea,
gallop through the dawn,
don't ask me to wear a hat,
move like you’re never born,
isn't this a gas?
Thursday, 10 October 2019
Hera
Forget that you're better,
than those you kiss,
they can only stick together,
they come here for booze,
like little kids,
about to mew,
love is not undressed,
strain to see my tits,
plenty of time to rest,
no time for Monday’s Blues,
rolling off my hips,
what’s this thing called truth,
forget my easy duress,
kissing your fingertips,
play music at your request,
just look at you,
does your heartbeat skip,
don’t take me for a fool,
would you be lesser,
if I turned and stripped,
still steamed my kettle,
wiser in what you miss?

Miriam Four
We can dream of empathy,
sitting on a wall,
listening to the sea,
I catch her eyes snake,
dancing on thorns,
she treats me like a fake,
each day of uncertainty,
a protest in my calls,
absence of how to feel,
who wants to stake,
a fear of being torn,
so I wait,
someone asks me,
a penny for your thoughts,
I say infidelity,
doubts fog my days,
I wonder if I'm born,
hers in so many ways,
we sit in the lee,
wondering what's been bought,
this isn’t me,
another whisky call.

What dreams have we kept,
they ask, the ghosts,
sat on bar stools bereft,
leave us alone thank you,
our skin might need soap,
we've heard the news,
are not bothered,
if they throw the rope,
just let us,
do what we say we'd do,
faces as strong as stones,
no need for your views,
lessons from the Pen,
carry tiny worms of hope,
deep within our breasts,
don't ask us to rue,
what we know,
cross streets or the Avenue,
you might mean well,
asking what we need to cope,
if can you help,
measuring up our bones?
Miriam Two
Your face like a cone,
somewhere far from ecstasy,
tells me all I know,
far away from time,
the daily conspiracy,
is life on the line,
your mouth a cruel loan,
when your body pulls free,
need to rest your bones,
on Sunday's drink wine,
and you and lovers seize,
love from this ugly clime,
every lie a fine toothcomb,
dance like a honey bee,
on the ocean stones,
your house besides the sea,
at the bottom of the road,
brings some other fantasy,
our bodies list and groan,
let us dare to be,
angels coming home,
watching on TV.

Miriam
What do you care,
that they stretch my face,
as if you’d understand,
the tune in blue trees,
the web-like lace,
spun on the breeze,
you’ll still need to share,
heaven's kissing gate,
you put me in there,
chained to the sea,
the same as your gaze,
a hymn to serendipity,
it’s hard to know what's fair,
your voice raised,
lips that snare,
down harried streets,
no one waits,
sugar sweet,
you're not a dare,
to sing so great,
are you aware,
how we pass the days?

We live or die in here,
the first one offers wine,
others circle near,
bereft of drama or lonely stars,
our debts reach high,
the journey’s never are,
moon bright trees blink sere,
lit with an inner light,
no one hides their fear,
someone makes a mark,
another wonders why,
it skips a happy start,
lemons tart as tears,
chill a ghostly birthright,
don’t see the danger near,
forget our shining cars,
they won’t hear us sigh,
we wait before the arc,
this hell hole on the weir,
allows no-one's rights,
to be cool, considered, clear,
walls scream strife and fire.

In a room that creaks,
listening to the rain,
she turns to speak,
this is not my tune,
she says,
the song is too crude,
words stuck in between,
the moon hesitates,
it knows where she's been,
Paris and sunlit avenues,
somewhere in Spain,
free from the intrudes,
wrapped in a cotton sheet,
she pulls at my traces,
her long legs and knees,
outside’s a Magnolia tree,
the bed's like a cradle,
it ignores how it creaks,
sometimes she squeezes,
all the life that’s taken,
still from the sea,
love marks her day.

In a room that creaks,
listening to the rain,
she turns to speak,
this is not my tune,
she says,
the song is too crude,
walls washed green,
the moon hesitates,
it knows where she's been,
Paris and sunlit avenues,
not something on planes,
free from the crew,
wrapped in a cotton sheet,
she pulls at my traces,
her long gait and knees,
outside a Magnolia tree,
the bed's like a cradle,
you can smell the sea,
sometimes she squeezes,
from one life taken,
a manner to sleep easy,
love marks her day

pull on your kitchen gloves,
take your time,
say you're no longer in love,
remember which tune,
that hits broken lives,
it’s still ringing true,
heaven's a cover,
when you reach that line,
it sings in your blood,
want me hum it for you,
make the clock fly,
run outside the room,
hold to those who scrub,
live generous lives,
don't always get the rub,
like you never rue,
the mysteries of your crimes,
hear the wind go boom,
listen to what's above,
shudder with the wine,
fly like a released dove,
don’t be frightened.

Paul Four
Don't fall for anyone's Blues,
sing on the wire,
you always pay your dues,
life isn't a stone,
taken to the fire.
why should you atone,
whoever reads the news,
think who’s for hire,
make your own truth,
a philosopher in your bones,
say poison your desires,
find your own home,
read every book,
anything that inspires,
don't overlook,
your little place of ruin,
why be a denier,
the tax man plays his tunes,
wants each little piece of you,
anyone can inquire,
don’t give them a clue,
you're not a liar.
