Draw shadows against the boats, selight in falling rain, it shocks me I'm broke, should be no news really, echoes of a bursting suitcase, ends another holiday, St Anthony’s quay has shown, loss carries no certainty, when you need a loan, mist across the inland sea, buses groan at the station, they thrum a sad soliloquy. I hate to beg and moan, now we're just company, but can't we just carry on, If we mark the peace, with shades of new territory, we can get some release, beyond the cafe's.

I paint like Marcel Duchamp, and walk with weary gait, feel my socks they're damp, bring cognac to my table, steaming dishes by measured pace, fated my broken frame, am no picture to look upon, swaying like a crane, just want my work shown, on winter's days, unshaven waiters in cafes, often see me faint, men before me are calm, with buttered hair in strains, say c'mon c'mon, is love just a game, canvas is the stuff I crave, museums wear a lonely face, will they hang my name ?

When you see a shining star, does it make you weep, shows you just how far, children and dogs, can set you free, make you better than you are, in a warm hazy fog, you blunder to succeed like being shipped to Mars, let me cross that bar, upset the sea of tranquillity, give me all i want, and if they can't, forget the Ferrari, i'll make do with the box, bless water in my font, make all my fires decrease, inform me what's going on, I'm like someone from afar, watching flowers grow gently, music by The Mighty Wwah, it scatters all my needs.

Living here's no paradise, it never makes the news, this suburb isn’t nice, but it could be great, sand and sea like perfume, stardust on our plate, all we need's a better try, show what we can do, save us from unholy spite, our songs will resonate, ringing out the shoo shoo, won't find a better place, this district is our life, what it holds is true, naked sodium lights, won’t stop us to create, singing our good news, we're far from debilitate, give us these Spring nights, where we live anew, even the days we might, fly the chicken coup.

Since you've been away, we don't know what to do, but each night pray, you break some maddened stone, say it’s all you can do, no one keeps you home, sleep this time of day, hear you in the bathroom, nothing more to say, why you have to go, always playing the fool, laughing down the 'phone, the walls have turned grey, smoking's not your ruin, you've eaten all your cake, we're the ones alone, what is left for truth, fresh as April snow, you see the creep of moon.

The one of you I knew, when time was short, would rage at these Blues, in this consumer light, you live without a phone, it doesn't make you wise, nothing gives a clue, no print or written tome, what you're going to do, they all know your right, who gives its best to go, with the cards so slight, you'll never be a fool, to take on others moans, push against their rules, pictures i have of you, wouldn't let condone, all the stuff we rue, you say baby show'em.

C'mon lets up our game, don't leave it to chance, shuffle what remains, listen to some grounded song, time could never lance, make us feel we belong, sat here watching the rain, sheet down a broken path, why not just retain, glorious times and getalongs, stay well balanced, enjoy rooms with dark marks, rouge my lips sad face, stoke my cigarette glances, wine we drink not chase, can't we just bumble along, flying by our pants, hoping we right the wrongs, light the unlit lamps.

Blow flame across my tears, share jokes in the dust, then you disappear, I thought you'd never fail, wrap blankets on our trust, laughter on bar rails, what brought you back here, in the lilac dusk, a man once so clear, ice blue as the trail, a rider till he's bust, absorbed in all your days, no one could get near, a spark that never rusts, many have shed a tear, a hammer for the nail, I did what I could, he haunts me like a grail, nostalgic for the mud.

You'll pay a heavy score, my almond eyes ruined, when love turns raw, if you hear my tones, drip like a broken tune, you know what you've done, live life all the more, leave me here to stew, why say I'm a bore, I dedicate a home, only fools pay their dues, avoid me like a hurricane zone, think you know the score, among other things you do, don't scream because, hard acts face this door, warriors lives turn blue, all the stuff you swore now you're doomed.

Maura

Take life by the horns, it's not a place of ease, pray for all you know, i'm not defined by flaws, or other things released, scream just because, our love is on the floor, your almond eyes plead, bells ring out the score, make our lives less flawed, don’t pretend it’s emnity, we're well within the law, if you want more, it's all right with me, just quietly close the door, hope is at our core, rolls gentle as the sea, within its constant roar, this really is our party.

When cheers storm the night, you make your mark, an aria beseeches why, the stage is like the sea, a warm embrace by dark, It brings a sweet feeling, dusk falls in green light, your life follows a star, lonely are consoled tonight, when men go looking, hold lovers in their arms, Its only you they see, a Diva's name never declines, the price near or far, glued to many's best sight, your voice defeats cacophany, it soars like a lark, you left a family’s company, gave the world your art.

Face down terrible claims, no star can refuse, this outrageous Dame, you who want to try, Oh so full of virtue, should see my prison stripes, it's no child's game, whoever brings me news, are really chasing fame, I spin around such lies, my sequins string the blues, all's a crass disguise, if hardship's on the way, nothing's here to rue, everyone is on the take, only fools ask why, I'm with someone like you, tired of angry eyes, I scream the truth.

Am not your little drip, nor big sea, the yellow light tripped, you ask about my lovers, with all their surly needs, no one has my number, what I crave to live, as dearly as a creed, is know my own limits, that edge of wonder, being witness to believe, always worth the struggle, stones flowers pieces of drift, its enough to keep, what's within my gift, to enslave or encumber, a lifetime of greed, doesn't bear such trouble, love's never easy.

Your star is coming home, Singing to a police drone, in shelters you lie prone, why do you whisper love, on throwaway 'phones, ravaged face like a glove, saints reveal their bones, poems massage your loans, make you feel secure alone, pearl doves arch above, a lifetime given to moans, fly to those who give, fresh linen and sweet cologne, leaves you on the ropes, you wear a red raincoat, but know how to live, millions come and go, trying to find that gift, anchored in your soul.

What might have been, just doesn't seem fair, for this life of ease, you gave me no clue, not even aware, how to weigh such news, like swirling a bad dream, your eyes flared, a stifled out scream, tell me the truth, is my voice slurred, do you need more proof, to drink on sad evenings, you don't care, even if I dance a treat, am no longer yourmuse, is it my thinning hair, don't sing me the blues, can you love my new teeth, do you think you dare, the way I aim to be, make you scared ?

Who needs a shrink, when a lover somehow, provides a little drink, all the mights we own, in a village full of clowns, turns daylight into stone, I know what they think he couldn't weild a plough, but has me on the brink, I'm beginning to show, now he's left the town, all the stuff we've sown, it only takes a blink, outrage at what I've done, a fallen woman glasses clink, I fear what they propose, though a whole summer down, sweat shines on my clothes, face like an ice rink, to shut off the sorrow, bars and noise and stink, will they ship me now ?

Ferdy

You appear stoned, your picture up in lights, scrawled on the wall, if love holds true, why make me fight, because they all love you, say you're not alone, know which bells to strike, beat or break my bones, they call you Miss Fortune, pretty before your time, they don’t get your blues, the screams down a ‘phone, dreams of paradise, a flame without a home, your big account of virtue, passes within my sight, the wind blows bad news, down the April line.

Your smile makes me prance, But fear being caught out, by your smart chit chat, take all the chaff, I'll try not to pout, smoke and look daft, what others have found, hearing me shout I'll sometimes perhaps, in what you call balance, we might as well float, you make me worse, with your garage flowers, your old mouldy boat, take my hand and ask, willl any of this last, give life a bloody clout I say forget the past, what's it all about ?

The wind going boom hear the clock's chime, pray outside the room, Please God let us try, brush away these times, laugh at reason's why, like I could never argue, to lead a generous life, a breeze to the rescue, dance with love you sigh, sing it like a lullaby, even cold as ice, Spring has come to bloom, sing that song you try, but it's not your tune, sing before you die, love has no birthright, the Ocean's deep inside, where we all reside,

Signs that say we're done, well before sunset, ashes scattered and gone, God's association due, our astonished bet, no whispered thank yous, fire and distant thunder, leave me here to set, unbroken amongst us, my tongue is like glue, no matter what the debt, what does it add to, don't know where I'm from, tired of making threats, beyond our daily stone, my arms hold him yet. these are not my blues, houses that we let, fighting over what to do, somewhere there's a jet.

You know what i mean, love doesn't throw stones, hurl insults at the stream, i'm cool but burn with rage, even if I'm alone, he always opens the gate, this isn't my scene, a journey's path is cloned, long past where I've been, useless to hesitate, knife is on the bone, it's always too late, who will take the heat, bells ring what i'm doing, no one makes me plead, wave goodbye to heartache, he has come along, my turn now to trade, he has to atone.

Drunk enough to ask why, accept she's been chosen, before you deny, laugh at all my crazes, Don't try to provoke, with stupid phrases, sing instead my favourite lines, our time goes by unspoken, accept the world outside Consider all my praises, neither shrink nor demote these wonderful days, there's always time, to verify love's soaking, as clouds sail the sky, laugh lines on your face, are better than any joke, blow away my traces, keave me here unbroken.

Face down terrible claims, no star can refuse, your outrageous shades, you might wonder why, holy canons of Easter virtue, deem your shamrock stripes, tell you no child’s game, TV can blare fake news, but you are chasing days, whirl around the lights, jangle gold and spin delay, film your crass disguise, maybe love's on the way, don't appear too cute, hit them on the make, only fools are terrified, wilt alongside you, better stay wise, go easy on the truth.

She seeks holy peace, whatever she finds, nothing seems to please, won't hear good news, love is just a crime, a cover up for truth, fears the hiss of blasphemy, she doesn't do sublime, nor give anyone a symphony, why disguise the Blues, It nourishs her mind, she's never there for you, she shakes her keys, springtime in warm climes, is no Odyssey, filled with a loving need, for her family's rthymes, she'll stamp her feet, shriek what's new, forget your sense of ease, he died for you, she smells the sea.

Nothing scares us this Friday, we can we be happy, even when night times rage, we are never alone, but he sees, witnesses but not condones, we all know anyway, what it's like to be, a life lived to negotiate, why kid our elderly bones, strangers don't do uncertainty, want to live like scarecrows, to sing softly again, in chorus with fraternity, our wounds calmed by rain, different choices of grace, who needs emnity, my grappling embrace, walking on my knees.

Wendy

If nothing scares us by day, how can we be happy, when night times rage, we are never alone, but it takes such energy, to witness and not condone, we'll all know someway, where lies fate or destiny, stuff we can always ascertain, why live on elderly bones, Americans don't do uncertainty, We want to be scarecrows, I'm singing softly again, living in that fraternity, my wounds calmed by rain, different my choice of grace, who would want to see, my grappling forays, my joyous release.

What you create, with me as your creed, leaves me intestate, a tune with broken tones, in that dreadful scene, when you left home, you didn't hesitate, to polish the dream, shine the moon’s oblate, blow the wind cold, it knows what you;ve seen, the clouds grow bold the clock turns again, don’t dance in the cream, show a generous face , like you’re never old , be brave enough to scream, don’t care what I’ve done, settle it with me.

The way you hook, when your lover tells lies, money you pooled, now out on your own, in a poor welcome light, sunlight on the stones, he tells you its ruined, you don’t know why, you're 38 and cool, but no more wrongs, it's useless to cry, the knife's on the bone, always too soon, forever to sigh, to think what she’s doing, but whatever has gone, she’ll walk in the lilac, say hello to song, spring shoos her home.

Sweet talk makes you curl, enough to say Basta, never just a candy whirl, silken wraps you've thrown, always collapse, eyes alight like stones, plates occasionally hurled, nothing holds you fast, makes you torn or scared, life is what you own, if they think that crass, consider them gone, you're not perturbed, now that time has passed, you're not that girl, dancing on brown chairs, singing songs that match, you say you don’t care, keep it yourself or burn, put your love on gas, let the flame flare, make it last.
