Lorraine
When she dismisses us,
calls us jokers and thieves,
we thank you sister,
for ignoring our resistance,
and crossing the sea,
supplying what’s necessary,
telling us of distance,
that resides out of reach,
but should never be fixed,
she cares who we are,
arms swinging free,
hanging like stars,
from telegraph wires,
or the sky that deems,
to soften any crisis,
by jellies and Christmas,
as sunlight leaps,
she let's no one forget us,
knows it’s not easy.

Karen
You wait for my duress,
and take me for your needs,
spit saliva at the crest.
children left without success,
this cabin is your creed,
you only crave excess,
sobbing with the tide,
power is your creed,
across this shining coastline,
my dreams echo bush land,
of wine dark desert scree,
Murray river's far command,
we bathed and drank all evening,
but you don't want to see,
the wounds of my history,
bewitched by my concordat,
they'll tie my feet and spurn me,
know i'm better than that,
love lies weeping.

Kristina
God is my breakfast test,
summer within a lover's storm,
don't i feel blessed,
smiling dangerously,
with her twigging lymphoma,
the troubles start with me,
howling with tremendous being,
her complaints grow enormous,
she’s a lightning seed,
for her own epiphany,
a thunderous performance,
before even Dejeuner,
music roars from her Beat box,
a fist inside me claws,
opens another bottle,
a Samuel Beckett palimpest,
acting like she's never been born,
please give it a rest,
we dance around the floor. .
Janessa
Here's a thought for you,
do you wonder who comes first,
with all your time to rue,
wish I’d never been born,
ask if i thirst,
when summer breaks its form,
your canticle, the sea is blue,
leaves you little time for mirth,
or know each homeless fugue,
was it by book or 'phone,
you palmed your lies well versed,
to know how i'd blow,
will you try again this evening,
to run cursed,
from those lonely dreams,
debts unpaid and hate accrues,
stars and sails converse,
they reach beyond your pew,
it’s not me you scare.

Julia
Wind hush,bog splashed ruin,
where is self besides the night,
a simple wakening to love,
then the breath rushes,
like an Arctic skite,
other times a jungle crush,
we wrap ourselves in covers,
under fear of dying,
orange trees leaves whisper,
sooth a city's muffled din,
a snuffled dry exercise,
more than her shuddered sin,
how different this dark room,
to other imaginary fights,
my partner says we're doomed,
other bars, twilight, rain gloom,
she bites me, i ask her why,
she sniffs and hums a tune,
says I’m stupid to lie.

Honey
She was sinking slowly,
we are leaving red Palermo,
we eat pizza and think of home,
it takes energy to roam,
she is such a generous soul,
this girl has stripped my bones,
she's an Italian lover,
a five and dime honey down home,
but different from New York,
where she works unhappily,
we keep up a chatterful tone,
since our time on Trapani,
men who want to reach us,
try to circle our thrones,
fade into yellow nothingness,
sunlit train tracks groan,
nowhere like where we're going,
she doesn't want to moan,
paints her face for show.

Haya
Those highland whistles,
lets you know,
what her people would chisel,
the corridor sourball blue,
their wiles will show,
her dancing smile in tune,
garroted by your ready steps,
she hurts you with her no,
still looking above the crest,
a knife wound to the sea,
a young woman free to bestow,
love to lowland harmony,
the engine screaming,
you realise by winter furlough,
she’s not done dealing,
for the lands of the thistle,
she’ll only warm her toes,
stifle yawns around a chasm,
dream of places to go.
