Jinny
Is water in your blood,
in this house of whispers,
Ma says it does no good,
places you want to claim,
don't need a chorus,
little hearts beside the freeway,
smothered by time go bust,
leave someone behind who's nuts,
be prepared for this,
she'll find another Cain,
simply do what she insists,
knowledge is always lazy,
maybe you need a tug,
sail away without a ship,
the rain feels like dust,
always search for good,
walk the middle distance,
an Ocean door never floods,
why make a fuss,
she carries yellow lists,
pain enough for one of us,
chained before her Blitz.

Jerry
How little we imitate,
our inventive best,
when we twist and shake,
open to every door,
who can mend our fences,
and not get sore,
well fed we begin to take,
drink carried like the rest,
we cannot hesitate,
fools always sing for applause,
bring us to the test,
say two and two makes four,
the night's cool probate,
scatters our defences,
no matter the toil it takes,
forbidden reprobates,
ask for our presence,
leave us nothing,
but search for gain,
to the cask they blend,
we'll hear the rain,
they're our new friends.
Janet
Is this really the place,
to ask the reason why,
uneven love's ashamed,
ways of loss and show,
you beat out your time,
with nowhere else to go,
soaked on an ocean main,
desolation in your cry,
you always try to calculate,
what you need to know,
no longer berate the sky,
wooden box or one way blow,
when you once jumped rail,
foundation walls safe to climb,
beyond the spikes of jail,
your lips can't fake,
news to a sweetheart's lie,
or see her heart gain,
not easy to explain,
what hurts you deep inside,
seeing Blues in someone's face,
your eyes full of rain.

Janey
i inhabit somewhere beat,
perhaps with a communion air,
it'll rescue everything,
if i need love,
heaven is a place to share,
sometimes with a little shove,
when in depths of need,
i'll have a go at taking care,
it's not easy being free,
getting dressed feel the tug,
never short of pleasure,
when it's from up above,
i know how to keep,
a wooden place that's fair,
bars are my sole conceit,
somewhere i can dream,
even terrible faces hard chairs,
lit up like kerosene,
will anyone see,
the gaps between my hair,
what about my teeth,
each breath is my lair

Don't give me another trip,
strangers grasp me from below,
tell me get a grip,
we don't need drugs to pray,
sooth our bones,
or the need to get away,
stowaways have surly lips,
manacles of wretched homes,
others take a coin and flip,
hollow jokes and spirits fray,
on sentimental zones,
lies in everything they say,
they make our spirits dip,
will consumptive Europe,
take another a nip,
care to ask how we sleep,
or can we ever atone,
when faith take a leap,
wonder why we slip,
the wind gives a groan,
down our coffin ship,
dance parishioners go.
dead ruin across your face,
more jelly for my blues,
it doesn't bring relief,
but a new gnawing pain,
of wasted opportunity,
who bears the issue,
to the hospital gates,
you couldn't face the truth,
a swollen handkerchief,
a still born fate,
a star across the sea,
you wouldn't believe,
i tried to be gay,
,
listening to the rain,
for the cache of blues,
you are strong,
the moon fills your dome,
you'd never scorn,
when donkeys start to bray,
you dance and play
a surfeit of energy,
vodka tonics citrus cool
who needs reason,
that never fades
take a train,
you've sat and tread,
a path alone,
not having a sou to spend,
or like Zeus in his head,
listening to stones,
i only read in bed,
send me ahead.
who needs reason,
bags weigh heavy at night,
it's fun being away,
won't ever think concretely,
worry about pain,
a long silent right,
December in warm climes,
find an Ocean to lie in,
if they think that crass,
consider them gone,
you're not perturbed,
dancing on brown chairs,
when you tell lover's lies,
on the lilac,
whoever make me plead,
wave goodbye to dreams,
she has me all alone,
my turn now to bleed,
always opens the gate
they ask, the ghosts,
sat on bar stools bereft,
you never throw stones
What you created,
with me as your creed,
leaves me prostrate,
a tune with broken tones,
in that sixties scene,
when you left home,
you didn't hesitate,
to polish the chrome,
the moon hesitates,
it knows where she's been,
the wind going boom
hold the clock chimes,
run outside the room,
live generous lives,
like you never rue,
brave enough it rests nearby,
what settles on the breeze
to rescue God or try,
brush away disease,
laugh at why you're cold,
what has come to be,
dance on love you sigh,
sing that song you sold,
growl it like a lullaby,
before you die
you're no salamander.
.panic shall not reign
who holds their reins?
best not to moan,
keep hold of your creed,
by Calendar or the sea,
throw calcium
to bird who have flown,
it was only fame,
singing as they go,
drunk as a fiery contralto,
dance amongst flames,
problems the wind blows,
the love that was shown,
dissolves gives way,
all that you owned,
keeps you engaged.
cafe's swell with rain,
best not to moan,
keep hold of your creed,
don't let panic reign,
like a hurricane zone,
try to circle the domes,
not knowing where to go,
you have got my tone
knowing not enough to see,
would you let me tumble,
tired of this campaign,
across this shining bite,
that gives no trouble,
against the water's might,
the Americas of circue.
by mountains and ruins,
lovers only hesitate
she never left a family’s gate,
but came here to sing,
a woman who knows she's great,
that beckons any time,
next to me like a bride,
around a constant why,
the land within our sight,
an old man and his wife,
a voyage for the rate,
set your almond eyes
birds sing out of tune
drain summer into June
sweep up with the moon
not present castigate,
hope on a midnight wire,
we are not alone
in this lasting light,
home provides no clue,
God knows of our plight,
don't try to collude,
say your cards are marked,
you're never that far,
to stay where you are,
in a warm hazy fog,
and a veil across your face
don't send me to Mars,
from where you perorate.

Judith
Your moans leave me,
shivering by the train,
bones of a teasing homily,
your wailed news,
dead ruin across your face,
more jelly for my blues,
it doesn't bring relief,
but a new gnawing pain,
of wasted opportunity,
who bears the issue,
to the hospital gates,
you couldn't face the truth,
a swollen handkerchief,
a still born fate,
a star across the sea,
you wouldn't believe,
i tried to be gay,
before sunrise bleeds,
now your tears can't reach,
me on my way,
don't spoil my dreams,
keep your praise.
wondering if these waves,
will make her atone,
straggling to escape,
this November grey

Johnny
Take the love you show,
drown it on the tide,
live with what you know,
drained by winter's news,
before she sails on by,
smile the smile of cuckold,
caught up in a cyclone,
going to be a bride,
say please don't go,
what makes it true,
a heart made of stone,
she sings the Delta blues,
breaking on my bones,
who will bring more wine,
nothing can atone,
what we have we lose,
that fellow by her side,
is now part of you,
she never did do slow,
to catch another's smile,
why she's never home,
waiting for the ride.
