Nail
I won't say don't go,
or ask you to align,
my joys and sorrows,
what you refuse,
so many bright times,
leaves you the loser,
a chance to blow,
on dancing wires,
what you won't tow,
still play the fool,
who does what's right,
always someone's mule,
no more than show,
in dreams cold light,
you're looking old,
in a place smoky blue,
you don’t know,
anymore what's true,
a place without windows,
around your fire,
to warm my toes,
i think about crying.

Nellie
I throw away the years,
every pie has its crust,
the laughs and happy beers,
no life is too short,
for those who say you must,
in our summer town,
she comes in like the deer,
with a smell of musk,
in hazy bars she appears,
i knew she'd be caught,
spinning pennies in the dust,
she's never overawed,
what brought her here,
against everything she trusts,
a woman so clear,
no book or County Court,
hides the fact she's bust,
didn't do what i could,
blows flame across my tears,
shares jokes and puts,
hope for those who disappear,
geese rise in the dusk.

You won't let me hail,
anyone else to dance,
rooms with darkened pales,
you always play the fool,
waiting for kindness to pass,
try to make life smooth,
nothing more to say,
so little of pure chance,
when you drive away,
rage against these Blues,
lilac as a lonely fast,
don't let them get to you,
my life is framed,
and your face is tanned,
gliding down the freeway,
tell you what to do,
pull over make a stance,
you're no fool,
twirl me 'round again,
seek a ship for France,
say what you want to say,
you'll get another chance.

Norman
Stand by my unlit lamp,
a tree, a bridge, shaking,
i wait like a tramp,
listen to some muted song,
who would ever negate,
a need to belong,
better take a chance,
if I play this game,
the rest of it is Pants,
hoping I'm not wrong,
looking at the panes,
stream down a naked bar,
ask how much this path,
will shuffle my remains,
no more wounds to lance,
someone will come along,
say Heh Norm come the day,
conjure up a mighty dollar,
cigarettes and laughs,
beer sipped like champagne,
here life lets us dance,
singing in the rain.

Nancy
Wouldn't it be great,
to forget how much we owe,
celebrate what remains,
kick the need to long,
at rivers skim the stones,
within us all our song,
I watch for the rain,
tumble down a naked slope,
keep us from the drains,
we'll just bumble along,
fly with what we know,
assenting that we're strong,
fling the watch away,
shiny as the fallen snow,
trains arrive anyway,
you never let me down,
or worry about the loan,
I need no gown,
red lips ornate,
rooms where flowers grow,
pints and whisky chasers,
I never feel alone.

Nora
I feel the joy of praise,
see the creep of moon,
new horizons can be great,
you say you have to go,
always play the fool,
laugh like a bag of stones,
not content with any place,
or weeping over single truth,
life is what we make,
you want to go alone,
not enough here for you,
no one still at home,
these walls are never grey,
don't go where's its Blue,
there is still our lake,
its not a game of thrones,
take me if you want to,
but not as a loan,
since you've been away,
i don't know what to do,
but each night pray,
the sea still surrounds you.

Nala
Living here's no paradise,
never makes the news,
northern cities aren't nice,
could as well be space,
stars and sea like glue,
put some food on our plate,
all we seek's a better life,
accept what we can do,
to shelter all their spite,
our song still resonates,
a feeling far from Blue ,
wait till you see my weight,
the village is our life,
always something for you,
not window naked transport lights,
this is what we create,
to sing with our crew,
we don't hesitate,
home is our easy night,
where we look for truth,
maybe it's the way we cry,
longing for the South.
