One Oh Three
Your smile tells me prance,
but I fear being caught,
by smart tongued chit chat,
make all the bean counters,
show you around the course,
smoke and look around,
others have fancied,
watch me sing myself hoarse,
that you might balance,
where dancers have danced,
you make me worse,
with your faded flowers,
hold my hand and ask,
is this what we're taught,
sipping vodka from a flask,
forget the past,
you know about horses,
how to turn them out,
won't you take a chance,
forget these losers,
come with me to France,
there's lovely clear water.

One Oh Two
When you see a fading star,
does it make you uneasy,
know they're not that far,
but If its children and dogs,
just stay as you please,
in a warm hazy fog,
send my ship to Mars,
on the sea of Tranquility,
if you get that far,
or not what you want,
forget the Ferrari,
and all the stuff you don't,
put water in my font,
all your fires increased,
what the hell's going on,
I'm someone from afar,
on a bended knee,
feel like Ziggy Stardust,
singing in a boxcar,
that scatters all my needs,
blown ashes on the bar,
you don't do serenity.

One Oh One
I'll live or die in here,
wine isn't cheap,
but it takes away fear,
before any whispered sigh,
or hugs from a boulevardier,
it brings me to this night,
there's no drama lonely pier,
when a wrong's put right,
on a road with inner peace,
regular as the time,
darkness hides my gear,
a knife is its own birthright,
I've fallen in too deep,
to remember previous years,
what lies beside the heap,
it makes these bricks alive,
what I bought so dear,
often ask my self why,
when the moon seeps,
between stars white and clear,
I only hear someone creep,
and wipe away the tears.

One Hundred
Now you've left home,
they say it's your time,
where has time gone,
you used to believe,
it would all be fine,
better that you leave,
tears lachrymose,
are now not so kind,
far down the road,
jokes your repartee,
a way to unwind,
now float down the street,
wake up to what's done,
settle for peace of mind,
you carry the stones,
rain starts to ease,
there's light in the sky,
it's over the sea,
fix a drink with Coke,
it's better than wine,
put it in your coat,
it hasn't gone Nine.

Ninety Nine
It doesn't take long,
look up down the road,
to know that you're gone,
try to look kind,
a smile in your load,
the stars show the time,
while you keep strong,
the soul has windows,
to let oout its song,
you'll walk the miles,
away from home,
your face alive,
just rolling along,
you'll hear the cock crow,
to know what's been wrong,
if the sun doesn't shine,
when away on the blow,
nothing stops the fire,
so you're not around,
hold what you own,
you've no need going,
or beg for a loan.
Ninety Eight
You don't get much view.
from these scenes,
or in this kitchen,
you arranged the loans,
introduced the dancing queens,
put jelly on my bones,
saw in me something new,
on the street or Metro,
you were an angel,
far away from home,
trying hard to catch the breeze,
couldn't burn toast,
hadn't got a clue,
in that 'eighties dream,
i only thought of you,
wonder where you'll go,
or who you'll believe,
shake out all I know,
your dress is golden blue,
i can't see past the trees,
am shrunken by my dues,
guess i'll always be.

Ninety Seven
When you say 'screw you',
make all your troubles light,
there's so much more to do,
do all chefs die intestate,
however much they lie,
throwing venom at the plates,
come to scream at menus,
their eyes a terrible high,
a frightened kitchen crew,
fire burns around this place,
don't tell me how he cries,
anchors bind his feet,
even God is not immune,
debts gone from his eyes,
no longer is he duped,
wouldn't it be great,
to feel his love inside,
instead of all this rage,
your house beyond the dunes,
lying near the tide,
will death bring you truth,
or hang you out to dry?
