One Two Three

Some nights I ask why, other times no, why stars make me cry, might as well be Space, that marks our credit zone, we're out so late, you come into my sight, the wind is black and cold, then you're gone again, if kids and dogs are great, then why go roaming, stay who you are, wake up and smile Hey, make a place call it home, flame starts with a light, if you hear me cascade, shout down a broken phone, don’t hesitate, no matter how late, to strain our hungry bones, we're only chasing sky, not to be alone.

One TwoTwo

It's useless to hesitate, the knife's to the bone, it always strikes too late, never safe to heed, where I've been going, no one makes me plead, always leave the way, I can slay my ghosts, no matter what their taste, say sayonara to that scene, they‘ll leave me alone, my turn now to bleed, it leaves me delicate, a tune with broken tones, sealed in a shipping crate, but it’s not my creed, when you leave home, you want to succeed, the moon is llke paper, it knows what I've done, the wind on the plates, fire to understand.

One Two One

A smile on her face, she says carry on, I can’t turn away, a horizon once bright, she navigates with stones, feels that it's right, maybe take a train, like a love that's gone, it once came this way, the picture's not kind, she can cry but won't, it’s no place to fight, why do thoughts work this way, she’ll never understand, here on the plain, within a harvest light, hardly a sound, under an empty sky, who can ever say, we’re tied to our bones, nothing to gain, by going home.

One Twenty

Parade all the while, when you hit the trail, ride that lonely mile, in your bones, you don't need a stay, to be alone, you left her to die, on your holy grail, said you didn’t have time, can you atone, when love always fails, shame marks your tomes, flip a coin to the sky, talk of hoisting sail, don't worry about style, drink wine from a Jeraboam, covet some desolate mail, throw stones at her ghost, what is it to cry, that finds you this way, you're not going to lie, it’s worse than jail.

One One Nine

A cracked dirty spoon, offers no hindsight, or makes you look cool, here in this game, a race for your life, who holds the reins, you act like a fool, cooked over lies, stop doing what you do, if your eyes feel pain, your brain like a firefly, let others party, what makes it so cruel, you’re dying inside, face like a broken mule, when someone asks why, what you're doing’s insane, don’t show them the knife, or act goody two shoes, pretend to enjoy wine, who needs your rule, you'll be fine.

One One Eight

You could scream could you, when she demands another loan, talk of bad news, god knows, make it right, like some ocean boom, she's on cloud nine, she floats down the avenue, her daisy head is blown, paints you and Ma lemon blue, spinning pennies in the night, she’ll break any curfew, never mind the fights, when she cries for truth, we know she's not alone, can't be bothered to argue, what's worse is the silence, all that's gone to ruin, me, my wife, our niceness, before asking for her due, she reveals a broken home, leaves us here to stew, she'll always break our bones.

One One Seven

Dance a poor man's Blues, sing happy on the wire, always pay your dues, if no one 'phones, when you try to inspire, then go places alone, each little bit of you, is all they desire, don't give them a clue, life isn't a stone, you leave in the fire, why should you atone, for your choice of ruin, play louder than a choir, scream baby play tunes, you know in your bones, when others conspire, you’ll never go home, who brings you news, says who's for hire, you make your own truth, you're not a liar.
