Jofour

What do you care, the pull on my traces, that makes me swear, a tune in blue trees, thick weave on my face, spun on the breeze, what can you share, heaven's no kissing gate, but you send me there, in chains to the sea, unlike your gaze, that sparks electricity, hard to know what's there, with your voice raised, your lips that snare, down broken streets, no one runs or hesitates, from sugar treats, you say I'm square, if singing's so great, why are you so unaware, of each passing day?

We live or die I swear, first ones hit the line, others just don't care, no drama or lucky stars, our debts are high, the journey's always far, a moon bright under glare, each place lit with lights, no one hides in here, whoever makes a mark, another wonders why, there are no easy starts, lemon fears laid bare, rusty nails a birthright, weak are those who share, danger near or far, before any whispered sigh, for every day Jack Tar, bones are stripped bare, on walls sweating life, forget previous dares, this finishes any rights.

On a bed that creaks, she listens to the rain, and turns to speak, this is not my tune, she says, the words are not new, the walls are washed green, a moon prevaricates, it knows where she's been, Paris and sunlit avenues, not somewhere Upstate, for Nostalgie de la Boue, wrapped in a cotton sheet, she pulls a long face, it reaches to her knees, outside's a Magnolia tree, this bed's like a cradle, you can smell the sea, sometimes she squeezes, from many a life taken, her manner so to speak, opens the pane.

You pull on your gloves, take your time, say you're no longer in love, remember the tune, that forgives broken lives, it still beats true, heaven's a cover, when you touch that line, don't reach it in blood, want me to comfort you, make the clock chime, fix up the bedroom, give to those who scrub, lead a generous life, not always the nub, like you'd never rue, the mysteries in your wine, hear the wind go boom, listen to what's above, shudder without a dime, fly like a released dove, it feels right.

When liars shout out rules, sing your own tunes, run away from pills, life is not some nosegay, that anyone can fill, to give you some headway, like money to every fool, find ways to laugh until. there's comfort in the Blues, sing them every day, they will never kill, the love you live aanyway, always dream of good news, don't worry at the chill, when you have to refuse, douse yourself with perfume, there'll always be bills, see your petals bloom, no need for love's curfew, to slake your thrills, act holy with silent moods, reduce yourself to nil.

Don't sing me your Blues, hammer on the wire, go and pay some dues, life isn't a stone, taken to the fire, you could even atone, whoever gives you the news, see what's for hire, find your own truth, nature in its bones, says poison your desires, you'll always come home, read all the books, they always inspire, stay away from the booze, your own piece of ruin, always aspire, to love red suede shoes, each little bit of you, that everyone requires, give them no clue, say you're no liar.

Not drunk to ask why, accept you've been chosen, before you can deny, laugh at all the crazes, that they try to provoke, with stupid phrases, sing instead your favourite lines, when time goes by unspoken, all in a heaven's cry, outside of your lazes, the tattered overcoat, those sweet days of praying, the grave comes in time, to verify love's soaking, clouds lower the sky, dreams settle in fazes, blow on your cold bones, dance away the traces, a flower by your side, just some little token, more than any pride, of being broken.
