Hera Three

From my white garden seat, I carry a load, It takes time to defeat, secrets like lemons seed, ravaged lipstick Eau De Cologne, I only whisper feelings, when lovers trick or treat, my perfumes soaked, whiskey I down neat, living by a swollen creek, my prayers take hold, granny tucks her sleeves, a gun next to the sheets, she's no rolling stone, what better cure than ease, bathed in wine or yeast, isolated but still at home, there are still more beats, to measure these beans, no public telephones, down fields of blue wheat, we’re not alone.

Hera Two

I'm a fool at dawn, to say something like that, your eyes cross and turn, I want to be at sea, on a wooden raft, there's still time to dream, summon some ancient charm, from our little chats, sail to a perfect calm, I want to speak clearly, roar like a big cat, say this is not some feeling, to make you feel torn, our life’s on the flat, but still has some form, ride rails, dance and weep, adjust my Ray-Bans, dance before tea, gallop through the dawn, don't ask me to wear a hat, move like you’re never born, isn't this a gas?

Hera

Forget that you're better, than those you kiss, they can only stick together, they come here for booze, like little kids, about to mew, love is not undressed, strain to see my tits, plenty of time to rest, no time for Monday’s Blues, rolling off my hips, what’s this thing called truth, forget my easy duress, kissing your fingertips, play music at your request, just look at you, does your heartbeat skip, don’t take me for a fool, would you be lesser, if I turned and stripped, still steamed my kettle, wiser in what you miss?

Miriam Four

We can dream of empathy, sitting on a wall, listening to the sea, I catch her eyes snake, dancing on thorns, she treats me like a fake, each day of uncertainty, a protest in my calls, absence of how to feel, who wants to stake, a fear of being torn, so I wait, someone asks me, a penny for your thoughts, I say infidelity, doubts fog my days, I wonder if I'm born, hers in so many ways, we sit in the lee, wondering what's been bought, this isn’t me, another whisky call.

Miriam Three

What dreams have we kept, they ask, the ghosts, sat on bar stools bereft, leave us alone thank you, our skin might need soap, we've heard the news, are not bothered, if they throw the rope, just let us, do what we say we'd do, faces as strong as stones, no need for your views, lessons from the Pen, carry tiny worms of hope, deep within our breasts, don't ask us to rue, what we know, cross streets or the Avenue, you might mean well, asking what we need to cope, if can you help, measuring up our bones?

Miriam Two

Your face like a cone, somewhere far from ecstasy, tells me all I know, far away from time, the daily conspiracy, is life on the line, your mouth a cruel loan, when your body pulls free, need to rest your bones, on Sunday's drink wine, and you and lovers seize, love from this ugly clime, every lie a fine toothcomb, dance like a honey bee, on the ocean stones, your house besides the sea, at the bottom of the road, brings some other fantasy, our bodies list and groan, let us dare to be, angels coming home, watching on TV.

What do you care, that they stretch my face, as if you’d understand, the tune in blue trees, the web-like lace, spun on the breeze, you’ll still need to share, heaven's kissing gate, you put me in there, chained to the sea, the same as your gaze, a hymn to serendipity, it’s hard to know what's fair, your voice raised, lips that snare, down harried streets, no one waits, sugar sweet, you're not a dare, to sing so great, are you aware, how we pass the days?
