Kevin Three
Are you aware,
if you're so great,
no one really cares,
I’m looking for a home,
a web across my face,
you're too far gone,
who needs to share,
the spin of this plate,
just find me one here,
it’s no fun alone,
when your voice fades,
you’ve drunk the lot,
in chains on a chair,
talk of great escapes,
your voice shot,
a hymn to who’s won,
when shutters raise,
a time that feels old,
what if you care,
to pull at my traces,
don't you understand,
it’s too late.

Put me on the train,
I can hardly speak,
drunk in the rain,
forget sunlit avenues,
the roof that leaks,
a straining crew,
Liverpool or Marseilles,
anywhere that speaks,
not somewhere fake,
I’ll see you soon,
before my hair is grey,
in your lavender room,
don’t mark the day,
when my crazy deeds,
come out to play,
besides you flowers bloom,
love turns at ninety degrees,
you sing all my tunes,
nothing to say,
who would believe,
my legs are forsaken,
smelling the sea.

Kevin
Please don't moan,
stifle your screams,
come rolling home,
a knife to my throat,
I know where you’ve been,
does that keep you going,
I just need a stone,
to throw in the sea,
searching for love,
don’t dance with my ghosts,
happy as a queen,
toasting the lost,
when you love alone,
is that what you mean,
to hurt the most,
in your glass groans,
you once used to tease,
my quilted soul,
don’t come here to atone,
for your busted schemes,
I’ve no more to loan,
clean out of dreams.
Sam Three
What’s your crime
a vision that runs,
easy with the wine,
don’t get bitter,
what passes for love,
won’t tolerate this,
forget broken lives,
that sing in your blood,
they’re all other tithes,
that you sip,
with swollen gums,
need to change grip,
entwine,
silence or scrub,
others that climb,
no more lifts,
hands that you scrub,
illusory hits,
hear the clock chime,
another drop of rum,
remember the time,
pull-on oven gloves.

Sam Two
Dance in poor men's shoes,
sing songs on the wire,
always pay your dues,
if no one 'phones,
don’t burst a tyre,
you know where to go,
each little bit of you,
faced with their ire,
says here is the truth,
life isn't a stone,
you leave in the fire,
no one gets by alone,
it's your choice of ruin,
sings louder than a choir,
love’s just a shoo-in,
know in your bones,
when others conspire,
there'll always be home,
to bring you the news,
tell who's for hire,
give life some truth,
you're not a liar.

Sam
A flower at your side,
just a little token,
held with great pride,
ribbons in your hair,
stuff that you know,
won’t go nuclear,
stupid to ask why,
you've been chosen,
your turn to fly,
deny all the hurt,
memories not golden,
outside of your lair,
a wounded heart's cry,
shrunken or coaxed,
will never deny,
all that you share,
warm in your soaking,
pale sunlight flares,
sing favourite lines,
know that love's spoken,
a cloud sails the sky,
you are unbroken.

Fion Three
A line on her face,
says she’ll carry on,
won’t turn away,
a horizon once bright,
she navigates alone,
feels that it's right,
maybe take a train,
like a lover who's gone,
it came once this way,
the picture's not kind,
she could cry but won't,
no place to make tight,
she’ll work it this way,
never understand,
life on the pave,
within the city’s light,
hardly a sound,
under a wet sky,
who would bet anyway,
tied to the stones,
there’s nothing to gain,
by going home.
