In the passage a light, for those who want to pray, her youngest suffers at night, some places are a sty, behind the lip of alley ways, where the freighters tie, she always looks for sighs, somewhere safe contained, away from terrible sights, her brain is fried, you'd expect that anyway, the way life entwines, all our stillness 'till we die, no one is to blame, if we dream of islands, wait for lamps to shine, the chapel's sweet gaze, a loving gentle fire, accepts our ancient flame.

I'll stick with you, if I'm not too frayed, stop all this foo foo, don't make me groan, like a special case, in a yellow spring coat, I'll borrow you the moon, even Church and its slates, you'll beat these blues, we are never alone, pearl doves at the gate, I’ll make you a throne, tell me the truth, if you’re so great, why treat me like a ruin, want a cosy home, let’s you lie in state, you better get moving, love does not wait.

This cold white grate, won’t heat your bones, you’re always too late, give money to fools, you've got no phone, but smile like an angel, why try to engage, when you're that gone, all that's intestate, who needs more proof, when you sit and moan, the wind surrounds you, where are your best mates, blown on weather zones, who'll rescue your case, they catch you on Zoom, let everyone know, when you lock the room, cold as a stone.

Tell me, tell me why, they teat me like a seer, my lips dissolve their cries, who says to run clear, call for stolen rights, demand a veil of tears, i am a beautiful sight, candles raise their fears, bells ring for the night, joy is my sole conceit, ask the proud engineer, fresh from golden sleep, a woman of dreams, I walk these city streets, they scream desolate screams, will they ring my feet, slash or burn my ears, there's no need to entreat, they love orators here.
