Oriana
I don't need a shrink,
but a lover that skates,
over his time to think,
whom I might disown,
like a shire horse dray,
his word skim and spray,
I know what you think,
you don't need to say,
my home is an ice rink,
letters from ocean towns,
make a useful display,
everything upside down,
I swerve on the brink,
though these Spring days,
dishes gather in the sink,
the stuff that I swallow,
would make a priest blink,
sweat gathers on my brow,
takes a gold medallion,
to hold open my gate,
my face a little pink,
wind at my sails.

Nancy
What might have been,
is not always fair,
for a life of ease,
sing me the blues,
say you’re too aware,
to turn to virtue,
flowing like a bitter stream,
your nostrils flared,
it's never a simple dream,
tell me the truth,
is my voice so slurred,
do you need more juice,
we drink on sad evenings,
would you care,
if my heart stopped beating,
look at me I seethe,
is it my wrecked chair,
does it hurt to breathe,
can you still love me,
think you’ll dare,
my path to the sea,
are you scared?

Mona
Your smile's a prance,
no fear of being caught,
over smart tongued chat,
take all the bean counters,
you show around the course,
make them turn around,
wounds that you’ve lanced,
singing yourself hoarse,
let others call it balance,
when they seem to rant,
show how you to go taut,
give some glib answer,
hold your nerve and ask,
is this what they're taught,
by rich happenstance,
forget the missed chances,
work out the score,
wheel it to the chaps,
sip vodka from a flask,
those who are caught,
always want your glance,
their eyes frozen.

Lucy
A cold wind blows,
it stokes my fear,
who remains in the know,
pearl doves arc above,
what else is clear,
so far away from love,
give me money for clothes,
everything’s so dear,
you're not a bad Joe,
detail those who're rough,
weather suits us here,
we understand the rub,
if my vision's slow,
It can still be clear,
we are never alone,
blreeze across the coves,
don't worry if you fear,
someone always shows,
dressed in my long coat,
spring is late this year,
kiss me to my toes,
eschew sympathy tears.

Kiara
Signs to fly away from,
we won't ever forget,
all those scattered and gone,
the inspiration I drew,
thrust like a Tornado jet,
our many whispered views,
fire and a distant babylon,
arrives to meet my target,
no listless walk amongst us,
beyond these daily clues,
my days are ever spent,
fighting over what to do,
I wash myself down,
no matter what the bet,
lay these golden crowns,
now on a world cruise,
through my rainbow precept,
I'll cover all my dues,
on my sleeve’s a wrong,
no bell calls me yet,
think of government bonds,
not yet dreamt.

Joely
Time brought her here,
a yellow light of feasting,
she dreams of the Spring,
let others condone,
their passing release,
from broken homes,
more than any fair,
she'll do what's needed,
forging her own being,
a shiny pebble stone,
she skims from the beach,
swears She'll go it alone,
love echoes in her care,
beyond where fear seeps,
salt reaches her skirt,
like weaving pheremones,
knows what she’s leaving,
scatters it at waters gone,
fixated or in prayer,
many a grey dawn reveals,
the way she is spared,
all elswe is easy.

Irene
She laughs and hums a tune,
says it’s stupid to lie,
it’s just what others do,
we skirt around the garden,
she gives another sigh,
children are in late bloom,
issues a muffled ooh,
her failing sight,
roses come out before June,
the same pragmatic Chardin,
follows the afternoon light,
mice scurry in the furrows,
knows she faces ruin,
don’t ask me why,
she's one for owning truth,
neither will she bow,
says she’ll go out high,
pretend she’s above Idaho,
make her voice boom,
rage across the night,
men can state they knew,
she wanted to fly.
