Emma
Don’t look at me and pause,
give one of those sighs,
heard these tales before,
this is my home now,
not your interesting life,
God you’re slow,
while you spout good causes,
I'm barely alive,
in conditional clauses,
please stop your moans,
at wife number five,
gush like water flows,
outside a church door,
Is this where you die,
you want me to follow,
hear this I won’t,
despite the way you try,
who needs your comfort,
on this sun kissed cove,
my skin grows alive,
such was my life before,
praying for a tide.

Daphne
Being an ice cold Diva,
makes no sense to me,
when she sings Ave Maria,
high tragic in cheek bones,
her voice an ocean deep,
what resource she's shown,
her laugh is for dreamers,
like sunshine on the beach,
yet hard as clam coquima,
love she gave to lovers,
to seamen and Cafe's,
is far away as ever,
in stances of believers,
she is her own obituary,
each morning retrieved,
but no one lives alone,
shes doesn't fool me,
praying for her soul,
before a cup of tea.

Charlotte
You stroll off the meter,
but you don't see me,
dressed for the theatre,
apply polish to fingers,
at the Salon du Te,',
ignore a flic whisper,
discuss places to meet,
sip Darjeeling,
turn high on your heels,
guaranteed to linger,
your blonde hair conceals,
an invisible surrender,
all of those parties,
you give by the sea,
hides desperate catharsis,
do waves rise in rhythm,
at your command and greet,
your once coveted rayon,
down our street.

Bree
The weekend sings,
when everyone can hear me,
on my silent wings,
stars pour thru my bones,
can everybody see,
my songs all of home,
the yellow light of Spring,
brings my fresh dreams,
they sure make me feel,
sometimes when I groan,
mind shallow as Disney,
the beach is stony hollow,
but now to better things,
I sail upon the sea,
hot sun on my jeans,
I rein my bitter tones,
look forward to be happy,
embrace summer flings,
am a girl that's funny.

You laugh like you rule,
but it’s not the heat,
deserts don’t trust fools,
you can’t explain,
why oases lose their sheen,
that you should bother again,
you’d say that these mules,
forever miss their beat,
looking at hopeless ruins,
poverty yellow and grey,
doesn't come with sun screen,
you're protected anyway,
you are like all of us ,
when brown and seventeen,
sweet and bitter as almonds,
instead you conjure a train,
turn your head serene ,
look away from our gaze,
smell the salt sea.

Yaretzi
Am pretty sure where to go,
a sail around your knees,
a tattered sheepdog show,
birds cling to the cranes,
passion doesn't need me,
it never comes on holiday,
your lover sings her woes,
she makes me feel uneasy,
I’m not the best you know,
try to keep you sane,
when orange lights the sea,
all your furies contained,
count the cost of war,
a sense of honest liberty,
it's best not to caw,
sad but truly said,
you'd never fight for me,
luck never comes in spades
set our spirits free .
Xena
Was it worth that night alone,
a lighthouse shading beach,
sardines boats on their own,
at the quayside mornihg cafĂ©’,
I smell rain and sea,
warm against the beams,
will you view the foam ,
I call for more tea,
my eyes fill with stone,
I'd like to dance and dream,
but my opacity,
spins me like spinning,
i press myself to the bone,
above my pressed dungarees,
if I saw you coming home,
what we should really see,
always within gentle reach,
inside a starlit breesze
is to remain happy?
