Kamilla Three

Since you've gone away, I don't know what to do, but each night pray, I reach some deathly tone, see your face in whirlpools, above me like a plane, saddened every day, the sea still surrounds you, wonder if there’s a way, you’ll send me the loan, I don’t want you to, gardens need to grow, walls are turning grey, have I said I love you, as if on the make, don’t want to be alone, not hoping isn’t true, can’t you take a joke, my eyes are like jade, they’ll resist any curfew, blinking out to space, you’ll drop by soon.

Like a ship on the sea, I swear to the night, let me find a way, a shoal of lost hordes, all in flight, signal the poor, I seek authority, between moon and sky, you let me see, from the earth's back door, a terrible why, floats from the ocean's maw, curdled by weeds, their arms bound tight, who will set them free, get them to the shore, do what's right, face the furore, please rock me gently, say everything's fine, be kind to me lover, look into my eyes.

I stand by his grave, where praise be, I hope to be saved, my eyes like thunder, wine dark like the sea, hate makes me shudder, from the blue Nave, cooped to the lee, he had nothing left, there is a cluster, of Poplar trees, they neither wave nor linger, my voice starts to break, it's late for the season, geese fly over and away, his face is the wonder, happy laughing sweet, that I tore asunder, it's quiet in this place, my place of need, please grant a space, keep it open for me.

You’ve burnt the tar, bring only bad news, even in that new car, a trip on your radio, carries dreams for a few, but love listens alone, you won't cross the arc, make your excuses, right from the start, it takes a heart of stone, to ignore your Ju Ju, that’s the way things go, this has gone too far, lipstick, the jeans I use, I am not your tart, splutter down the ‘phone, act like a special nark, dance your last fandango, I smoke a Lucky Star, smell summer’s sweet perfume, you’re falling apart, with your lousy tunes

Is it peace or fame, a bird on the wire, that you rage against, shuffling out of the gloom, chanting to the wind, no one cries like you, many come this way, they pester you for hire, ask and ask again, tell them what to do, your face mired, visage forever blue, an offering to the freeway, a burnt-out tyre, this is all you give, always someone's dude, their wretched desire, little else of virtue, the miracle they crave, is not within your choir whoever that you save, plays with fire.

I'll gamble it all away, don't care what you do, I will live this age, in winter's iron maw, little comes of Neptune, even with a shallow thaw, look for signs in the bay, work is just a ruse, puts salt on our rage, everyone's a whore, sad song's ring on cue, what a cache they hoard, smoke cigarettes in the rain, every trick in use, it’s all such a game, love comes tied with cord, I don’t really hate you, even when you make me roar, this generation’s betrayed, TV reveals bitter news, we could fill our grave, with all its shoddy goods

My song is dead good mojo, It may be flawed, but it keeps me going, my lover’s like a flea, whoever takes the tour, she always lands on me, feeds the lost and lonely, a lender of last resort, they won't leave her alone, each tune keeps them happy, they holler out for more, don’t you dig this scene, dancing in my zone, like you did before, our time is never done, it prances on the sea, your hair fires the ocean, brings me such sweet dreams, I will sooth your bones, bring peace to the poor, temper your groans, have you back for more
