Idaho

You kiss before you go, light bounces on the tide, salt from last night’s show, when you rise from the dunes, your face a relic of sky, are you solace tuned, designed on the right tones, a mirage of warm surprise, to reveal all your bones, love you take as your due, before you turn on your side, weary travelers consumed, as for dreams you postpone, on some road you’d rather slide, you pass to lonely souls, the sea crashes all alone, an orchestra for your ride, dances again amidst the groans, make them laugh tonight.
