Mattie Three
You who always slight,
priest's robes of purple hue,
can say what you like,
isn't the sea divine,
your smile is cotton blue,
beams another time,
discard this crass disguise,
a lover of so few,
try to make it wise,
you drink me like wine,
ask what can I do,
her hair is wild behind,
it blows around my eyes,
Fox TV's bad news,
is my bridge of sighs,
we live in dismal climes,
my heart bursts in two,
we could be sublime,
I won't dodge your fines,
have nothing to refuse,
if I know what's right,
get in front of you.
