Peta Two
Who needs a shrink,
when a lover somehow,
has a problem with drink,
one day he might stroll,
the village full of clowns,
on other times lay prone,
I know what they think,
he’ll always be on furlough,
his head down a sink,
a display for the town,
show them what I've sown,
outrage now he’s gone,
I teeter on the brink,
a whole summer down,
work and strain and stink,
who will want me now,
face like an ice rink,
bodyweight of a cow,
my politics are dull pink,
sweat shines on my brow,
better be away from here,
find another scarecrow.
