Sixty Six
You'd scream would you,
when she demands another loan,
talks of her bad news,
sunlight,water,sky,
lit like some ocean boom,
God knows you're right,
she walks down the avenue,
her daisy head is blown,
she plays us lemon blue,
spinning pennies in the night,
we try to break curfew,
leave out all the fights,
when she cries for truth,
we know she's not alone,
can't be assed to argue,
what's worse is the silence,
all that's gone to ruin,
me, my wife, our lives,
before asking for her due,
this girl reveals our bones,
leaves us here to stew,
she's never coming home.

Sixty Five
Your Da's in the pen,
our stomachs need hope,
you stand there bereft,
if you think that's class,
consider him gone,
you'll never eat grass,
always first to the Den,
they laugh all the dopes,
you're his first son,
he won't be assed,
to leave us alone,
could forever shoot gas,
don't sit there pretend,
you want him back home,
the mess he's left,
on a brown chair crackin',
or with a lover's phone,
doesn't care what happens,
you say can you help,
or ask if we'll cope,
kid you're a Schlepp,
we splice our own rope.

Sixty Four
Are you aware,
if you whistle so great,
I don't really care,
am I looking for a home,
a web across my face,
you're too far gone,
for a need to share,
why spin on this date,
just find me one there,
heaven's no fun alone,
when your voice fades,
and i'm on my own,
in chains at the fair,
like a great ape,
I'm in a time share,
a hymn to what's gone,
when the shutter's raise,
a time that feels old,
what if you dare,
to pull at my traces,
don't you understand,
this tune is my fate.

Sixty Three
Take me to the train,
whose turn is it to speak,
she listens to the rain,
sees sunlit avenues,
not a roof that leaks,
free from all bad news,
Paris, Marseilles,
far from this house of geeks,
somewhere sunny opaque,
says you'll listen soon,
when walls turn grey,
in your hostal room,
does this mark the day,
when crazy inner deeds,
come out to play,
besides us a magnolia blooms,
love turns ninety degrees,
it's not her tune,
not what she wants to say,
who would believe,
what lies forsaken,
can you smell the sea ?

Sixty Two
Take your time,
shoulder what's to come,
drink some wine,
you'll get through trouble,
what passes for his love,
will no longer corrupt,
forget a broken life,
singing in your blood,
that's another time,
all that you loathe,
he will discover,
act out what he's told,
he's entwined,
silence in the rub,
his eyes on the knife,
no more betrayal,
hands that you scrub,
laugh at his failure,
hear the clock chime,
he's no more misunderstood,
remember that line,
pull on your gloves.

Sixty One
Dance a poor man's Blues,
sing on the wire,
you always pay your dues,
if no one 'phones,
when you try to inspire,
then go there alone,
each little bit of you,
they all desire,
don't give them a clue,
life isn't a stone,
left in the fire,
why should you atone,
your choice of ruin,
sings louder than a choir,
baby play tunes,
you know in your bones,
when others conspire,
keep tight this new home,
whoever brings you news,
see who's for hire,
find your own truth,
you're not a liar.

Sixty
A flower at your side,
just some little token,
more than any pride,
ribbons flutter in your hair,
laugh at stuff you know,
you'll always understand,
drunk enough to ask why,
accept you've been chosen,
before you deny,
die at all the hurt,
a childhood provokes them,
outside of your care,
a wished for heaven's cry,
neither shrink nor coax,
beyond asking why,
all that here you share,
warm your soakings,
with silly dares,
sing your favourite lines,
verify love's spoken,
a cloud sails the sky,
you remain unbroken.
