Seventy Three

What you can't find, then think again, go buy more wine, don't go home, there's too much pain, keep what you own, you hear of the crime, stand in the rain, say everything's fine, drenched to the bone, you're no angel, a swift grasp of loans, why try to disguise, each day is a claim, you can roll those dice, won't trust 'phones, they perish the mind, love's the real groan, it just takes a dime, to catch a fast train, dance to a different rhyme, take no more blame.

Seventy Two

Gone is the time, that covers the truth, your Ma's the real crime, if you make easy, what she cannot intune, nothing will please, clothes cashmere fine, stamps out the truth, each hint of her envy, she won't do breezy, why disguise the news, hates the way you speak, the time you spent inside, uses it like a tool, it sharpens her mind, you shake the car keys, act like her mule, each day is no Odyssey, am i just in line, to capture her Blues, dance me that wine, let's see whose the fool.

Seventy One

You can swear and blow, it's not too late, if you want to come home, no need to face ruin, or worry about an escape, you're no one's fool, or a rolling stone, fix that broken gate, luck's when it rolls, they'll arrive soon, mad families of the waves, mock everything about you, step closer to the zone, you'll survive their gaze, temper don't hesitate, or mind their hooks, you'll always need a loan, from careful Christian books, you're too cool to roam, nothing else to gain, no knife's at your throat, love has no rebate.

Seventy

You're never a girl, that curses and blasts, your mind in a whirl, face like a stone, it's best you look now, not worth going home, won't wear silken furls, for men who feel trapped, permaanent as pearls, they ring you like ghosts, first to collapse, knowing life is your own, your head doesn't twirl, a scarf worn for mass, you go downstairs, they beg at your post, drink wine aghast, ask what you like most, turn that flame down, you cook with gas, you're never that girl, who figures it last.

Sixty Nine

A cracked open spoon, may offer me hindsight, make you feel cool, here in this game, a race for your life, who holds the reins, you act like a fool, cooked over lies, stop doing what you do, if your eyes look in pain, your brain like a firefly, let others go their way, what makes it so cruel, I'm dying inside, face like a cooked mule, if anyone asks why, say you're staying sane, can't afford the knife, don't act goody two shoes, dancing on the wine, who need your rule, I'll be fine.

Sixty Eight

Please don't moan, stifle your screams, stay a rolling stone, a knife to my throat, you know where i've been, does that keep you going, I just want a throne, to perch by the sea, searching for love, why dance on my ghosts, a life as a queen, you like that the most, when you don't come home, is that what you mean, if I butter the toast, maybe you groan, you once used to tease, don't break my bones, I'm not here to atone, for your busted dreams, neither to loan, my eyes to your schemes.

Sixty Seven

Who can dream of empathy, sitting on a wall, too drunk enough to speak, why raise the stakes, a fear of being torn, the useless dates we make, I wait for the seasons, with my crown of thorns, giving up on reason, you'll arrive with grace, instead of cast forlorn, I have to act brave, you study me with ease, like i've been caught, pissing in the sea, lend a hand that shakes, absence is your call, understand why I hesitate, this is not really me, jellied to my core, a flower of deep uncertainty, you never wore.
