Sixty Eight
Please don't moan,
stifle your screams,
stay a rolling stone,
a knife to my throat,
you know where i've been,
does that keep you going,
I just want a throne,
to perch by the sea,
searching for love,
why dance on my ghosts,
a life as a queen,
you like that the most,
when you don't come home,
is that what you mean,
if I butter the toast,
maybe you groan,
you once used to tease,
don't break my bones,
I'm not here to atone,
for your busted dreams,
neither to loan,
my eyes to your schemes.
