Polly
Sing a poor woman's Blues,
sway happy on the wire,
always pay your dues,
if no one 'phones,
when you try to inspire,
go places alone,
each little bit of you,
is all that's required,
why give them a clue,
life isn't a stone,
you leave in the fire,
like a dried old cone,
for your choice of perfume
glow stronger than a choir,
play all of your tunes,
you know in your bones,
when others conspire,
they'll never leave home,
you're not a liar.
Omar
You could scream could you,
when she demands another loan,
talk of bringing bad news,
god knows, out of sight,
like some ocean boom,
she drifts on cloud nine,
floats down the avenue,
her daisy head blown,
paints us pictures lemon blue,
spinning dollars in the night,
she’ll break any curfew,
never mind the fights,
when she cries for truth,
we know she's not alone,
it's useless to argue,
thinks she is so wise
says what's done is done,
all thats gone to ruin,
always makes us groan.

Nikki
Play charades all the while,
when you hit the trail,
ride that lonely mile,
in your bones,
you don't need a stay,
to be alone,
you left me to die,
on your holy grail,
say you don't have time,
can you atone,
when love always fails,
shame marks our home,
flip a coin see the sky,
talk of hoisting sail,
here's mud in your eye,
drink wine out of jeraboams,
hide that desolate mail,
throw stones at his ghost,
know how to to cry,
what finds you this way,
you're not going to lie,
hope he's in jail.

Maria
Beat at my walls,
tilt against the rain,
hover at infirmary's door,
thank god you’re home,
it is to my shame,
I always need to roam,
what am I doing this for,
forever gone by train,
am not wanted by the law,
can't say I atone,
dance away the strain,
know love is not a loan,
you look at the score,
my face a savage shade,
you will pay you roar,
don't spit in ticket halls,
screech out your disdain,
you're not needed anymore,
I'm on the highway.

Lily
Consider my duress,
you want me for your needs,
spit saliva on my chest.
what is it to you,
when I'm on my knees,
do you hail a tribune,
children left with excess,
the office is your creed,
you only crave success,
sobbing with fake news,
power in what you believe,
across Maddison avenue,
I struggle and confess,
for wine dark waters deep,
somewhere for a rest,
you tolerate no excuse,
within the wounds of history,
a turtled mound of refuse,
waters to bathe and rest,
splash and sink all evening,
love like I'm the best,
let me taste the sea.

Kayla
My vision's comes too late,
not so easy to leave,
what I need to say,
you recoil at my thunder,
exploding in a frenzy,
lost in luck or numbers,
you'll find out one day,
when I get to see,
plans you’ve tossed away,
is my life so cluttered,
my memories deceased,
in and out of love,
am not made this way,
for a cowards retreat,
bound fast to the days,
i'll make you wonder,
stones, graves, wreaths,
who you've split asunder,
watch out for me.

Julie
A smile on her face,
she says carry on,
says don't turn away,
a horizon once bright,
she navigates the Stones,
feels if it's right,
hears them take a train,
like a lover that's gone,
it once came her way,
the picture's not kind,
she can cry but won't,
it’s no place to fright,
why thoughts work this way,
she’ll never understand,
here on this highway,
drives in a harvest light,
hardly a sound,
under an empty sky,
what is safe to say,
not tied to our bones,
nothing to gain,
by going home.
