Natalie Two
We stretch out sunny days,
your smile's an absence dream,
now you're on your way,
don’t bring me the news,
like a gunman's face,
or think you know what to do,
lying in the rain,
on St Anthony's quay,
it kills me to see you again,
there’s a spirit in you,
that’s hard to please,
a parish of broken rules,
I’ll work and save,
whenever there's a need,
but always feel your nails,
the lovers you took,
makes you queen,
now you're cool,
meeting in a warm cafe',
an empty burned out feeling,
you drink warm tea and cakes,
no one's speaking.
