Paul Four
I wonder if she's right,
to head for the sea,
lilac as the night,
she’ll dance and parade,
make faces before the enemy,
her soul works this way,
the shouting and fighting,
slakes her release,
time is her lightning,
her eyes bear the fray,
cold in the season,
she'll call it a day,
what comes down the wire,
before she flees,
she pulls from the fire,
she carries no tray,
spring's done with heating,
needs to be away,
bags weigh heavy in flight,
it's fun to believe,
she'll never sit tight,
will always love me.
