Fiona
A sunny life is not for me,
nothing lasts forever,
waves kiss the palm trees,
I look at the sand,
brown bodies keep us together,
to leave just like that,
I sip a tiger beer,
a leopard sits in a Baobab tree,
she eyes the Serengeti,
an old trail on dry land,
where silver mules are tethered,
makes me cross mountains,
embark upon terrible feats,
she never was a planner,
drink a little holy whisky,
I’ll be better in heaven,
the beach seethes,
she says you're jesting?
