Phoenix
Don't turn away silent,
we'll see each other again,
in not such a bitter time,
do what we can alone,
it can’t bring us shame,
rivers flow on their own,
we’ll laugh in warmer climes,
no one is to blame,
tho’ part of me is dying,
beyond this war zone,
the shifting hand of fame,
is a place we’ll allow,
to return us on the tide,
is all we need to say,
wrap up safe inside,
if our promises are broken,
spirits fast ablaze,
we’ll call on the unspoken,
to make us dance again.
