Smoking a lucky star,
chasing numbers,
always swimming out too far,
the same calendar sisters say,
how we wondered,
she'd make a great play,
her great beating heart,
lived near the wetlands,
then she bought a car,
sped into the fray,
her face bewildered,
would give anyone a race,
right from the start
insisted,
we watch her skid park,
she hit the cliff gates,
her laughter gone still,
almost ten years to date,
love always hungers.
