Jody
I toss away the years,
every age has its dust,
laughs and happy tears,
no life is too short,
believe in those you trust,
within our toil of waters,
you run like the deer,
with a smell of musk,
crowded bars draw you near,
I knew you’d be caught,
spinning dollars for a crust,
nothing makes you overawed,
what brought me here,
bathed in a bridal flood,
for you to be sincere,
no book or district Court,
hides the fact you're bust,
it's not what I sought,
you flame across my fears,
transfer me some luck,
hope before you disappear,
in the lilac dusk.
