Hadley
Thw ship at harbour wall,
growing dark evening light,
who would carry us at all,
tell me, tell me why,
engines turning into night,
you rage at any delight,
a hammock makes you stall,
bells ring out your sighs,
can you see our downfall,
how love fades without why,
spreads into my insides,
its cool embrace widening,
should I clamp your jaw,
across the shining deckside,
throw you to maritime law,
there's something not right,
beside your whinging cries,
who pays for this ride,
within a tissue of lies ?.
